That's not an option at the moment. However, a number of people have created feature requests to allow this. This one seems to have the most support if you'd like to add your vote:

Just a note on tapping, unlike the Charge, HR, Flex, Zip, and One that all use the XYZ sensor to detect the tapping, the Blaze has a touch screen. Let's think of the tap you use while typing on the phone, it is a very light touch and release.. I found that if my finger slides across the screen while tapping, the tap will fail.
Also pressing any button will turn the display on.
A restart 3x's, could also be tried.

Sure go ahead and make the display always on, i don't mind charging it up every 5-6 hours.
Can you imagine if the AW stayed on, there battery barely lasts 24 hours now.
