Little LCD dot/light on black outer frame of blaze

Just got a Fitbit blaze and I noticed before I'd even set up there is a tiny faint light or something in the black outer frame of the LCD display. Is this supposed to be there or is it a manufacturer issue?

This most likely is the light sensor for the auto brightness mode. I think your seeing external light reflecting off the sensor.

@Rich_Laue Is this the sensor you are mentioning. I often wondered what that was.

Under fluorescent it is nearly white as shown, and under daylight shows as a very light red.

@Rich_Laue Thanks for the quick reply.. That was brighter because it was on an angle under 750 watts of bathroom ceiling fan heaters. I kept moving the Blaze to get the best result. I can hardly detect it in bright normal light in my sunroom..
