Miles are off with Blaze

Ever since I switched from my charge hr to the blaze, my miles have decreased. I am 6" 6' and I average about 1900-2000 steps per mile. I went into settings to update my stride length, bit it is still putting my average to 2250 steps per mile. Help

I don't think so, they send me a replacement and it's doing the same thing. Very disappointed.

I've emailed support already so hopefully they can shed some light on it. I'll just return it next week if I don't have any answers and this problem is still on going. It's absolutely unacceptable that they didn't catch this in testing. It's not even that difficult of an issue to see, it takes very little effort to realize it's a big problem.

@MichaelB1 I have been trying to get answers out of support since March with a frustrating lack of success. I am now on my 4th Blaze and all have had the exact same problem. They have admitted that there is an issue but that is as far as it has got.

Here's my prediction.

Fitbit will do nothing to fix this as it is not really effecting sales much. Sure there are annoyed people returning product but in the big picture they are a very tiny number and not effecting the bottom line. In a years time there will be a new model that actually works and muggins like me will trot off and buy it. It's all about sales with Fitbit. Look at the Surge, it has a tired old menu system that looks clunky in comparision to the Blaze. The Notification handling is ugly and could easily be faster and better. The Surge could very easily be updated to look and work much better but never has. Fitbit don't bother investing in existing product development as that isn't where the money is.

Sadly, i think you are right with your prediction. That is it for me with Fitbit. Contacted them today to see if there was an up date for this issue , since my wo replacements have had the same problem ,but they just gave me the usual run around. Try this, do that and in the end it did not change anything. I wasted over an hour in Chat with 2 different Techs , they both got "disconnected "  somehow and left me hanging in line. I should have returned it while i still had the chance. Time to move on to other Fitness trackers.

Yes. I am having to move much more to get 5 miles with the blaze than the one. I reduced my goal to 4 miles.

I am finding this as well.  Right now I am showing 4100 steps but only 1.29 miles.  How can this be?  I have entered my height as 4"11' and did not enter my stride.  Previous to this I had the charge HR for about 2 weeks and returned it for this very reason, before that I had the Surge and it seemed fine.  Frustrating
