Miles from steps charge hr vs blaze

I've always had my step goal set to 11,000 because that has gotten me close to 5 miles on the One and Charge HR. The Blaze, however, wants 13,000 steps to hit 5 miles. I've never changed my stride from 0. I've always let it work off my height which hasn't changed. Any thoughts? Thanks

There is something wrong with the Blaze. Needs an update really bad.

Yes, this is also something I've noticed. Compared to my Charge HR, the Blaze has me over 1,000 steps more needed to reach the same 5 mile goal (I was always able to leave it on the default stride length based on height.) When I received my weekly summary today (the first full week of using the Blaze as opposed to the Charge HR) for the first time ever the step count was up while the distance went down. I really was hoping I wouldn't have to play around with adjusting the stride length...I just assumed it would be the same formula as the Charge HR...really confused why it is different.

I'm having the same problem. I'm pretty short and I used to hit a little over 4 miles with 10k steps, but now I have to do a lot more. I tried searching for an answer to this but it doesn't look as though anyone from Fitbit has addressed it yet. I've already tried manually adjusting my stride length on my profile but that hasn't made any difference.

I continue to have this problem and it hasn't made a difference adjusting the stride length. I even wait a full day in between the adjustment to give it time to sync and adjust. I have adjusted the length further than what it actually is and my steps to miles remain unchanged. I have tried restarting the tracker several times and turning the Blaze off and nothing changes. I was able to use the default setting on the Charge HR and it was accurate.

I am still having this issue also. I contacted support and they are sending another blaze out but I dont think that is going to help. I think a software update needs to happen.  The stride settings are not being used in the calculation and the calculation is off.  Sometimes it makes me walk over 3500 steps to get a mile.

Same @cbstanford, often around 3500 steps for 1 mile and for me it should be more around 2,500 steps for one mile. I don't need it to be exact but at least reasonably close and it shouldn't be ignoring manual stride length changes.
