Missing days

Hello,

I have a problem similar to one mentioned in a post that is marked as solved here:

https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Flex/Flex-syncs-but-is-missing-days-since-last-sync/m-p/907791

My issue is not completely solved by that solution though, so as that thread is fairly old I thought I should start a new one in case the old one isn't monitored.

In my case, I was away for a few days and steps were being counted fine on my Blaze. After a few days I switched to my Charge HR to prevent running out of battery on the Blaze, then returned home that day. After syncing, none of the steps from the Blaze would show up. However, if I look at those days in the Log Activities page, I can see the activity breakdown through the day - so it seems the data was not lost.

I tried the solution suggested in the thread mentioned above, putting in 12 hour walks/runs across the busy part of the days in question and that has given me an assumed block of activity calculated from the time and distance I entered, instead of the detailed and correct breakdown. So I have some step totals but no idea if they are correct, and the detailed data is gone. So my question:Is that detailed data really gone (or will it come back if I delete those fictional activity blocks I entered), and is there a way to actually get the accurate data that is clearly in the system, to show up in step totals, calorie totals etc?

Thanks,

Kevin

Hi, @kevmartin, if you delete your manual logs the data recorded by your Fitbit will return.

It's great to see you around @kevmartin and @Julia_G thanks for stopping by.

Did you sync your Blaze before using the Charge HR? If you didn't, in the future I recommend syncing the tracker you will stop using before wearing the other. To avoid this to happen again, you can restart your tracker and manually log the activity "Walk" to have those steps back.

To log this activity, you just need to do the following from your Android Fitbit app:

1. Tap the "+" icon.

2. Tap Track Exercise

3. Enter your information.

4. Tap Log It.

5. Sync.

I hope this helps, let me know how it goes. Woman Happy

Thanks for the responses 🙂

I just deleted the fictional walks from the 3 messed up days and not only did the data come back but it looks like the step counts came good as well. So I think I'm sorted.

I don't usually specifically do a sync when switching trackers, but will try to remember to in future. I do have my trackers set to sync constantly though, so maybe thats why I haven't had trouble before (or haven't noticed it).

Anyway, thanks again.

Kevin
