Music control with LG Stylo 2 not working

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My fitbit blaze is fully connected to my Bluetooth. It is connected to blaze classic. My music will only show as "connecting/loading". I have tryed to unpair and repair, reset (both watch and phone), and completely delete my blaze and reset it on the app (as a new device) I had no troubles with this a few months ago but after a break from it , it seems like a update maybe messing with it. I am using a lg stylo 2. This is killing my battery and if i cant find a fix im going to switch to samsung

Hi there @Hinata, welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems controlling the music on your LG Stylo 2. Thanks for all you've tried to get it to work!

I think this has to do with the compatibility with your phone. I was taking a look and it seems that the LG Stylo 2 is not on the list of compatible devices that you can check here.

When it comes to devices compatibility, keep in mind that the two devices that are for sure not compatible at the moment are the Huawei P9 Lite and the Huawei P8 Lite.

For all other devices, if they're not on the list of compatible devices, you might be able to sync with them but we don't guarantee that the functionality will be optimum as it could be the case here with music control as we are still testing on these phone models and due to the large number of Android and Windows devices, our team has not yet tested all of them.

In the meantime I can recommend removing your tracker from the connected Bluetooth devices. For this, go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone. On your connected devices, look for your tracker. Tap on it, then choose the option that says "Forget this device". Then, you can proceed to set up your tracker as a new device.

For this, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else!

Tried this and still have the same issue. It shows my music for about 3 secounds then starts the loop again. My notifications and calls all show up on the fitbit just the music issue will not go away.

I had this same phone connected not to long ago and it worked fine so i wonder if its a update that has been added to the fitbit app thats causing the issue.

Honeatly I can live without the music control but the only way i can find to turn it off ( otherwise the battery dies within 5 hours) is to turn off Bluetooth which i dont want to do as i still want to get my notifications. Is there anyway to simply turn off the music controls??
