My Blaze does not sync properly with my Pixel XL

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The fitbit app on the Pixel XL says it sees the Blaze, but it doesn't complete the connection to the Blaze. I tried to keep the all day sync on it. It syncs with it with one bar, then loses its connection. I do not seem to have a proper connection anymore.

Hi there @Pieter-M, welcome to the Community Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry you're having problems with your Blaze to sync properly with your Pixel XL.

I'd recommend two things. The first one would be to restart your tracker. You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot

After this, try to set it up as a new device and see if this makes any difference. For this, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem.

Let me know if this helps. Anything else, I'm here to help!

Same problem here. Pixel 2 XL doesn't auto sync (all day sync is on), I have to manually prompt it to sync and most of the time it fails after trying for about 5 mins. Tried rebooting phone, tracker, no luck.

Worked flawlessly on my iphone, but I moved to the pixel 2 and since, have had these problems.

Hi there @stevegm. Great to see you in the Community Forums! 🙂

Upon checking the list of compatible devices. it seems like the Pixel 2 XL is not a supported device and this is the reason why you' could be having problems with it. Some features may work, but it's not guaranteed for all of them to.

For any update, keep an eye on the list and if there's anything else I can do for you, I'm here to help!

Hello again Steve,

I have a Pixel XL not the 2.

They seem compatible.

Would like to hear further thoughts.

Thanks again.

Hi guys, I think since the pixel 2 is new, it is not yet listed as a supported device yet. It is however Google's latest flagship device, will probably sell several million units, so I guess it will appear on the list soon. Hopefully, at that time, the syncing issues will have gone away.

Thanks all,

Steve

I updated my 2 XL to the November firmware (fixes lots of Bluetooth issues) and now I am syncing fast and often.
