My Blaze has shipped

I just got an email that my Fitbit blaze ship today February 20

There is a valid point from a customer service standpoint that an email should not be sent to customers saying "item shipped" when indeed only the label has been created without actual hand-off. These items are shipped out of their distribution facility in Indy, a very large facility, and rest assured Fitbit could arrange for a weekend pick-up if they wanted, particularly given the pre-order unit volume, customer satisifaction goals, and proximity to a FedEx air cargo transit hub in Indy. 

 

I've been around the block with this company, too, and they have a very poor record on shipping at launch of new product, and frankly, items will sometimes sit and stagnate at the "label created" stage, credit card already charged, with no actual in-transit shipping happening for another several days.  This has been true back to the Ultra Classic when they used a smaller SF local distribution.  IMHO the weekend notification was in place so that execs could say on the earnings release call earlier today that the Blaze has begun shipping.

Mine physically shipped like 6 hours after my notification about the label.... Despite the melo-dramatic tone of the above post it seems rather reasonable to send out a notification / billing when the device is ready to leave the factory rather than the arbitrary moment a delivery person physically touches it. Looking forward to it - sorta wisihing I paid the extra for faster shipping as Canada Post is not exactlythe model of expeditious delivery!!

I get an email from FedEx Tracking whenever a package is shipped to my address and I just got an email from FedEx saying a package was shipped to my address on February 22nd from Fitbit Indianapolis for arrival today February 23 and I didnt order anything from Fitbit but a small Blaze for my wife and a large Blaze for me so IM thinking they are coming today.

Just be thankful that yours is not arriving in Alaska via smartpost.  Mine will not arrive until March 10th. sigh.  I should have known better and paid for overnight shipping ( which wont make it here overnight, but it would take less time than this)  The last time they shipped a surge to me via smart post it took an entire month to arrive.

FedEx just delievered my Blaze!  What a surprise.  Screen looks GREAT!  About 1/2 charge on battery so I will not have to charge till tonight.

FedEx just handed me the box with a Large Fitbit Blaze for me and a Small Fitbit Blaze for my wife. Need to go open the box and check it out.

Did anyone pre-order from the Nordstrom website?  I had a Nordstrom gift card so I ordered from there.  I'm wondering if they will get their shipment soon and ship mine out?  Originally my email said it would be the beginning of April so I'm really hoping it's sooner!!  Are people that ordered from other retailers like Best Buy getting shipping dates yet?

Nothing in NZ. Ordered 4th Feb and got no link to order status on the confirmation email so can't even check status.

I learned the hard way not to order from any other location than the Fitbit site. It makes warranty issues much simpler. Although Fitbit honored my warranty without a Best Buy receipt, it was definitely a hassle. I hope you get yours soon. I got mine earlier today. Pleasantly smaller than expected. Gorgeous screen and makes every other Fitbit device look prehistoric. If this is as accurate as my Surge, I will be very happy.

The charge hit my account one day and the Blaze was deleivered the next day via FedEx overnight.

I did the free shipping - mine is currently in transit.  Last update was yesterday late afternoon and it is in Kansas City.  ETA for delivery is still Monday the 29th.

Saw that the Blaze was now shipping...so living near Indianapolis, I put in my order yesterday (2/23).  Just received a shipping notification this morning.   Hopefully will have it by tomorrow, if not the next day.

I just spoke with Fitbit and the Plum Blaze I preordered is backordered but they sent me my Leather Band.  How is something I preordered backordered and why send me my leather band when I have no Blaze to put in it.  This is crazy

@Surina81 - what size did you order?  I too ordered the Plum in small and mine is in transit currently.  (No additional bands ordered). When did you place order?  I wonder if the demand for the color/size was higher than initially anticipated?

@Leonhouston25 I ordered mine on the day orders opened.  I received notice on Saturday that it shipped.  I used the free shipping since I think their overnight and expedited is overpriced.  Anyway, mine is on the way to Arkansas currently and is supposed to be delivered Friday.  I am in Texas.
