Need Help , Why does my FitBit Blaze only turn on when in the charger

My FitBit Blaze Only comes on when in the charger but as soon as i take it out to go black and won't turn  on,  Is there a way to fix it?  Hubby bought it over a year ago wore it one day didnt like it so gave it to me. It sat in my drawer as  back up for when my Charge HR 2 died.( which was this past week)  The Blaze shows full battery and when i contacted FitBit they said same has full charge but wouldnt help because it was past the year warranty even though it had clearly shown it was only used the one day. I can't afford to buy another

Even though it was not worn a lot it is still past the year warranty.

Also when these are not charged for long periods of time it kills the battery for good.

You can try these steps but I do not know if it will work

Please clean the contacts

Then Do a Restart
