New Blaze doesn't work outside the charger

Hi! I received a new Blaze yesterday. I have set it up and has been updated . The display is working fine while it is in the charger. But outside the charger the display is not working. It's a blank screen. Do I need to return this or am i missing a step here? Help!!

Try hitting a button

@Jayabhutani, following @Driver8666's suggestion, when out of the charger if you press any button it doesn't respond at all? Have you tried to restart it by pressing and holding the left and lower right buttons for 1012 seconds? This should reboot the tracker and make it work.
