New Blaze not charging

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have had a very similar problem to the ones mentioned in several other posts on this bulliten board.  Bought a brand new Blaze (I actually purchased one last week but it was STOLEN!! The original one had no isssues being set up).  The new one wanted to perform an update but couldn't  because the Blaze needed to charge.  But the blaze wouldn't charge.  I tried multiple solutions and had an on-line chat with support which was helpful.  They eventually decided to replace the equipment which is great! I'm only posting this to suggest that, based on the number of chats with a similar problem on this site, that perhaps there is a design flaw of some kind?  Although I assume there have been millions of these sold. But this issue seems pretty basic.

Hi @ClaireLow

how hard are you pushing down in the cradle? Some times it won't react to a light "put down" or another thing you can do is restart your Fitbit that sometimes helps.

Thanks for your response! Yeah, I did that and the support person walked me
through all of that also. The ONLY thing that might be happening is no
contact between the tiny little pins in the cradle and the contacts on the
device. But it seems impossible to confirm that much less try to adjust in
some way. Seems like a tenuous design. I'll wait for the new one and hope
for better results.

Thanks again.

Welcome to the Community @ClaireLow@Jimster it's great to see you around and @ct-7567 thanks for stopping by.

@Jimster I am glad to hear that you will be receiving a new tracker, at the moment of receiving it, you can follow these steps from a computer to set the new Blaze up:

  1. Click the Fitbit Connect icon located near the date and time on your computer.
  2. Click Open Main Menu.
  3. Click Set Up A New Fitbit Device.
  4. Click Existing User and log in to your account.
  5. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue.

Now @ClaireLow, if you are having problems with your Blaze battery, I recommend following the instructions provided in this post.

Catch you later. Woman Happy

Further to this issue:  I received my new blaze from fitbit (Thanks!).  It too is not charging.  I will mess with it a little bit in the next 24 hours but if nothing works,  I will be trying some other provider.  It simply should not be this difficult.

Thanks
