I have that problem also. Called Customer Support and they fired off a new Blaze and charging cable. Got it this morning. Plugged in my USB port and left for over 7 hours while computer was on. Never saw an indication battery was charging and when I tried to set it up it said battery was too low. Borrowed my wife's adapter to attempt charge from the wall. All I get is the Fitbit emblem on the screen with the white arrow pointed right, and the Fitbit.com/setup below it. Touched screen and nothing happens. First thing I ever got without an instruction manual either in the box or online. I'm on a Windows 10 computer and don't have a smartphone or tablet. The USB port I tried charged an MP3.

same senario, just got my 2nd blaze, paired the bluetooth, it wants to update, battery too low, charging on a higher power charger for a Galaxy S8, after 90 mins still says battery too low to update, will not proceed with setup. I've been at this a month now with replacement chargers, a replacement request lost, bestbuy refusing to return or replace, now the second one from fitbit not charging....

Suggestions? Will attempt again after leaving it plugged in  (and hopefully charging) for 24 hours.

Follow up (on this thread). After about 5 hours on a wall mounted phone charger the Blaze had enough charge to do the update. I have not tried to charge it again on my computer USB link. It is somewhat misleading that the battery (charging) symbol never comes on before you setup and do an upgrade.

The first Blaze I had never did charge on the computer USB. It may have worked on the phone charger, never tried it.

Hello all, I hope you are doing fine!

Regarding to the battery issue you are all having, I recommend taking a look at this post and follow the instructions provided there. After these steps, your trackers should charge properly.

Hi after a lot of frustration and many tries and as if by Magic it started to update and charge all by its self, well not quite I had to plug it in, but still to this day or any other I did nothing different to any other time. Seems to be working ok now only time will tell ?
