New Fitbit wont update due to low battery

So I have seen this post over and over again. I bought a new fitbit blaze yesterday. I tried to set it up but when I tried to update it, the thing says the battery is too low. I have put it in the charger making sure that the prongs are lined up and still nothing after a 3-4 hours of charging. Help?!!
