New Samsung Phone for Fitbit Blaze

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
I have recently bought a new Blaze, which doesn't work with my old Samsung phone at all. I've tried setting up with a friends Samsung Galaxy J5 and it appears to be working with my Fitbit Account, but can't test things like text forwarding. Can anyone advise if this is as good or a better option than the S5 Mini, which is listed as compatible, but which is a year older than the J5 and £100 more?

There are no options for text forwarding. You can only get notiifications of texts, calls and calendar items. It is only a one way process no matter what phone you have.

OK, thanks Patruns, so I will be able to see a text has been received, but not actually read it? That's helpful and makes it less critical, if the rest seems to be working with the J5.

Whether you can read the text,  or Jay be notified will depend on which messaging app being used, and if peevish is turned on.

Hello @CM-Bromley welcome to the Fitbit Community! 🙂  As @SunsetRunner mentioned you can only read the message and the format will depend on the message app you are using. You can read more about message notification here@Rich_Laue thanks for your cooperation! 🙂

My wife and I are due for a phone upgrade.  She wants to get a new phone right now.  I'm not sure I want to since my Galaxy S3 works so great with my Blaze.  Where can I get a listing of all android phones that are totally compatable with the Blaze.  Thanks

The Samsung Galaxy S5 works just fine, I would assume the same would be for the S6 since they are on the same version of OS (Android 6.0).  I would avoid the Note7 until the exploding battery issues are resolved.

Thanks for sharing the link for the supported syncing devices @Kmransom123@ryanelliott thanks for your experience! @Visualtps also I would like to confirm what @Rich_Laue mentioned some devices are not in the list of compatible devices but that does not mean are not compatible. Is just that we cannot guarantee that all the feature will work or it wont present any issue in the future as it has not being fully tested. Nowadays high end devices are built with the same core specification, so is hard to find a device which is not compatible and is rare to find a device which wont be compatible at all.

Catch you later! 🙂

I can also confirm that my Blaze works just fine with my GS7, including receiving notifications for voice calls, SMS and calender reminders.
