Although my Blaze notifies me of a phone call correctly, there is no green or red button on the screen to abswer/reject the calls. There are some circles emitting out of the bottom right hand corner though. How can I answer calls with a button on my blaze please?

My understanding is that you can only answer or reject calls from an iphone. If you have android you are currently out of luck.

As @DavS correctly stated, the ability to answer calls onBlaze's screen is only available for iOS.

@NathanGH20 I have circles emitting out from the green phone icon on the bottom right and then a red phone with x over (to dismiss a call) in the top right.  So yours is just the circles?  Have you tried to push the bottom right button to answer a call?

The correct screen display is shown in this help article.

Mine does this too. Will FitBits connected to Andriods ever be able to accept or reject calls or will it always just be an option for people with iPhones?

Best Answer
I don't recall that being stated in the specs of the Blaze when I purchased it. That would of definitely been nice to know.

Will that be corrected? I'm guessing there is a good reason for it..?

Are you asking if thos feature will be added to yhe android OS?

It doesnt need to be coerced since out is not a feature of Android and its working the way it was designed to.

Maybe I just didn't see where it was stated that you could only use the reject/accept phone calls ONLY on an iPhone.

I found it in the manual for the Blaze on page 23. If you do a search I think you will find a PDF of the Blaze manual.

I found the manual, and the manual for every Fitbit tracker, by going to the bottom of the page, click on Help, now click on the pretty picture. On the next pane the will be a link to the manual.

This should definitely be a feature that they work on. I had no idea that it was an iphone only option until after I scanned these forums. I literally scanned an hour of videos reviews and this was never brought up. I'm currently keeping it on a temporary basis as I get more involved with it. Here's hoping Fitbit is seeing some heart felt suggestions and desires from the users and are going to work on implementing some of them. Honestly I'm not mad about some lacking functionality, but I do expect that what they have should work well and easily and so far getting phone, headset, and blaze to work together has been... interesting.

Hi all, thank you for your replies, I guess us Androids users will just need to sit tight for a while! Thank you

Sit tight? Heck no. I'm so irritated with this device I'm returning it and getting a Samsung Gear S2 that I know works with my Smasung phone. I never saw this anywhere either with all the researching I did. Disappointing.

Are you kidding? you did not solve the issue!! Dont label it as "SOLVED" when you did not do **ahem**!

@Anjel096 In a Community forum like this, the "Solved" label means that the original poster had his/her question answered.  So in this case, the original poster questioned why their accept/decline options weren't showing up and the solved answer (by @MatthewFitbit) explained why.

Now I assume you are angry because the bigger issue isn't solved...android devices having the accept/decline functionality. Hopefully it will be available at some point, but in the meantime, I recommend you vote for this request on the Feature Request board.

This really annoys me and confuses me at the same time. Wasnt the blaze marketed as fitbits answer to the apple watch?! WHY wouldnt fitbit be making sure that it would not only be able to have the answer/reject feature available for iphone BUT ALSO for android users?? Seems to me like it would be a big selling point. This was a huge mistake on their end. It isnt stated anywhere. And I'm sorry but burying it in the manual on pg 23 is hiding it. Its not clearly stated anywhere prominent so that when you are researching to purchase one you know that this isnt an option on android OS. Which is clearly intentional. Im greatly disappointed in this.

No the Blaze is not,  nor ever marketed as response to the AW. While the Blaze answers calls with the AW, it doesnt put the phone in speaker mode, or have a way to talk through as the AW has. Why didn't Fitbit add this functionality to Android? Good qiestion and should be asked to Fitbit. My thoughts are that the team that developed for Android is nor the same team that developed for iOS. Have you voted?

Will Fit bit have an update to have this function added for Android users as well? I have been happy until my children updated me to the Blaze and now my features are not the same as my children.
