Although my Blaze notifies me of a phone call correctly, there is no green or red button on the screen to abswer/reject the calls. There are some circles emitting out of the bottom right hand corner though. How can I answer calls with a button on my blaze please?

I really don't see what the big deal is with regards to not being able to answer calls on Android. I mean, you can't talk into your blaze, and need the phone in your hand, so why not just answer the thing in your hand?

I'm curious. If the ability to answer/reject calls is iOS only, why did I receive a Blaze 101 email that states the feature is only avaliable for iOS and Android devices?

Best Answer
@Stryfe I believe the Blaze 101 email says you can receive call notifications with an iOS or Android mobile device, which is correct. Android does receive notifications, just can't accept/reject a call.

It has also been a long time since I got that email, so feel free to prove me wrong 😉

The Blaze 101 can be found in Fitbits online help sight, and under the help section of the phone's app.

@JrdubyakcHere's some screenshots of the email I received.

Here's the part of the email mentioning screening calls, note the * at the end of it

And here's the end of the email with the note going along with the *

I don't mind waiting for the feature to be implemented, just confused why the email says one thing yet all the other documentation says it's just iOS.

And what does the note say about the *
Best Answer

@Rich_Laue Per the screenshot, the note says "Only avaliable for iOS and Android devices" about the *

Hello @Stryfe thanks for pointing this out. Currently answering phone calls is an iOS only feature. You can read more about answering calls here@Jrdubyakc and @Rich_Laue thanks for your cooperation.

I'll be around if you have any questions. 🙂

I think I will be looking to sell my Blaze and go with a different smart watch that will cost less money and offer everything I am looking for. The Blaze is one of the most expensive fitbits and it doesn't offer a lot of the features that the cheaper fitbits offer like the move reminder and not being able to answer calls if you have an android phone. With the price you pay for the Blaze all of these features should have been available when purchased. I'm not a happy customer.

When can we expect to answer/reject calls on blaze connected to android devices?

Hello @brooksrds and @Darshan2291 welcome to the Fitbit Community! Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. @brooksrds I would like to clarify that the Blaze is not a smart watch it's a Smart Fitness Tracker and the ability to answer calls is currently only available for iOS users. The idea to answer calls from an Android devices has already been suggested on the Feature Request board, take a moment to vote and add your comments.

Catch you later! 🙂

I don't understand why so many people are crying over such usless functionality lol. Seriously whats it good for. Answer call then frantacly dig phone out of pocket to talk. In the meantime accidentally hang up. The only way its useful is if your wearing a handsfree headset but who wears those. I very rarely see people with those anymore.

I agree with Kotkoj, but I'd like to at least be able to reject the call from my wrist, just to stop the **ahem**ed thing from vibrating 🙂
