why does my blaze sometimes count steps as I am walking, and other times now count them?

why does blaze sometimes not count steps at all -- I have a path I walk which is 120 steps, I had to walk it 3x plus more to get it to register 250 steps

Hi there @jemorgansr, I liked to see new new faces around, so let me start by giving you a warm welcome to our  Fitbit Community.

Ar you doing any particular exercise or is just a brisk walk that your tracker sometimes count your steps are pother times doesn't?

I suggest to try a restart on your Blaze.:

  1. Press and hold the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

If this is not working try to play with the location where you wear your tracker by going to your device settings:

  • The dominant wrist setting decreases the sensitivity of step counting and should reduce any over counting of steps when your body is not moving.
  • The non-dominant wrist setting increases the sensitivity of step counting and should reduce any under counting of steps. Non-dominant is the default.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have additional questions.
