Not seeing the real time heart rate on app for android

I recently purchased a Blaze and everything was working great with the device paired with both my iPad and Samsung Galaxy S6. I then purchased an Alta. It appears I can switch between the two Fitbits on my iPad, but on my phone the Alta is always the device that shows on the apps dashboard. Is there a way to select the Blaze to show up on the dashboard? Or, will the Alta always show up because it's listed first under devices? The only reason I even noticed was because the real time heart rate was not displaying on the dashboard.

I find if I'm not around the other trackers and am walking i can see my Blaze data in real time on the android app.. You do need to be walking or the blaze won't try and connect.

Now I'm not sure if it needs to be set to always connected but that is what mine is set for.

Also if the iPad is nearby it might cause problems if the Blaze connects to it and not the phone.

I don't think the connection is the problem as the real time heart rate shows up fine on the iPad app when the Blaze is showing on the app but not when the Alta is on the app. But I am able to click on the Blaze device under devices and switch between the Alta and Blaze on the iPad but not on the android device. I am assuming it is an issue with the android app that does not seem to switch between apps, but thought I might be overlooking how to switch between devices.
Thank you for your input. It's not a big issue because I can just look at the watch to see my heart rate. The background data still records fine.
Thanks again.

Hello @PNWGrandma welcome to the Fitbit Community! I was reviewing my Android app and you change the tracker you have set to your account. Just tap on the tracker tile ( the image of your Alta or Blaze) and you can select the tracker you wish to use. I tried this with my account since I have the Charge HR and Blaze paired to it. Click on the tracker's tile and you will get redirected to the devices page as shown on the next image:

Then sync the tracker you want to use and make sure the word connected shows next to the tracker:

This way your live data will show on your Android app.  @Rich_Laue thanks for your cooperation!

Let me know if this helps! 🙂

So, I feel silly now. I guess you have to get far enough away from one to break its connection, before the phone will switch to the one that is close. Can't just sit with both devices and change from one to the other.
Thanks to all for the help.
