Not showing text notification body

How do I get fully text message from my Samsung 7 edge. Only shows I have message.

If you are not seeing your text notification body, I recommend trying the following from your phone:

1. Open your "Messages" app on your Android device.
2. Go to "Settings."
3. Click on "Notifications."
4. Make sure there is a checkmark next to "Preview Message"

I can't tell you how thrilled I was to find this post.  I had tried everything I could think of to get my new Blaze (bought from a friend) to work with my Moto Z Play.  I then saw where my phone wasn't on the compatibility list. I was heartbroken.  I didn't get up, though. I was snooping around on posts out here and found this.  The one thing I'd not done was check to preview messages in my phone settings.  Thank you so much for your knowledge and directions listed here.  I know have accessibility to my text messages, gmail, and messages that come through FB Messenger.
