Had a great high paced 22 minute bike ride that registered my heart rate, calories but not the distance or average speed. GPS was on and Blaze connected to phone. What, how can the distance and speed be captured? Thank you

Hi there @Riderbike. Great to see you in the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂
I'm sorry to hear that your Blaze didn't capture your distance and speed while you were on your bike ride.
I'd like to know if you made sure when you started the activity on your tracker that the Blaze connected successfully to your phone. I could probably recommend -just to avoid any problem- giving your tracker a restart and to remove the Bluetooth bond between your tracker and your phone and set it up as a new device.
To restart your tracker, you can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot. After that, proceed to remove your Blaze from the connected Bluetooth devices on your phone. For this, go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone. On your connected devices, look for your tracker. Tap on it, then choose the option that says "Forget this device".
Once you've done this, set up your tracker as a new device. For this, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem and the next time you track a bike ride, make sure that your tracker connects to your phone GPS and see how it goes.
Now, also keep in mind that if you're not using your Blaze to track your activity but you're letting SmartTrack record it for you, it will not give you distance or speed for that activity and this is the way this is expected to work.

My Versa is not capturing my speed or distance either. It never has- I thought it just doesn’t have that function, but apparently it’s supposed to! What do I need to do?

Hello @IrynaS and a warm welcome. If you use the outdoor bike auto-recognition method of tracking, you do not get distance, pace, etc. You don't get this information on any of the auto-recognized activities. If you want this information, you must use the Bike feature in the Exercise app. This exercise uses the GPS connection with your phone to calculate the distance so it can calculate pace. Ferdinand, thank you, those steps worked for me! My last ride was all captured on distance and speed (Time and heartrate were already being captured). Note to others: I also made sure my GPS tracking in my phone was set to be used by the Blaze. My phone has the ability to turn on/off the GPS feature at the app level. Make sure yours is set to allow the Blaze access to your GPS if it has that functionality. Thanks again! (Now if I can only get it to keep a charge for longer than a day)
