Pain in arm and shoulder?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a Blaze, and have been wearing 24/7 since December.  I have increasing pain in my left arm (bicep) and shoulder. Hurts to raise up

over my head, and to lift or grab anything.  I've read many posts about the HR. Is anyone experiencing issues with the Blaze?

I didn’t realize that was an option with the Blaze. I too had no problem with my blaze. I will look into that. Anything with weight using my arm is impossible. Good luck! Keep us updated.

It's one option at least, the exercises that I have been doing are helping,
more like stretching. My thought is that I am going to switch arms as
regular basis and not wear it at night. Thanks for the update. Good luck.

Thanks for replying everyone... it’s been 24 hours without the Fitbit on and I was able to sleep better.

The pain at night got so bad that it would wake me up.

Check out the symptoms of carpal tunnel and try some of the exercises, they
help. I didn't have any trouble with my old one either. Take it off at
night and wear on your other arm. I plan on rotating it. Good luck.

I know feeling, I quit wearing it at night and put it on the right arm. I
believe that, this is carpal tunnel, as it has the symptoms. I have been
doing exercises for carpel tunnel, and it seems to be helping me. I love
my Fitbit and wear every day, being that I don't sleep with it,I charge
every other night. I have been taking care of my left arm realized that I
use my cellphone phone with my left arm, so I am changing the way I handle
it too, always reading emails and texts. My arm is improving no more
aching.

How long did it take for your pain to go away?

It's been going on about 3 weeks, I put heat on my arm, wrist and shoulder,
every night. The aching is pretty much gone. I have been using my left
arm more, but being careful, it's a lot of work but better than pain. It's
a lot of work but it's been a challenge, and I have a time to tend to it,
what else is there to do. Coronavirus is keeping me home. I have gotten
used to wearing Fitbit on my right arm, my plan is to wear it on the right
side and then the left, alternating. Wrist exercises. Good luck.

I too have been having pain in the shoulder and upper left arm. I started wearing my Fitbit Alta HR full time since I've been having heart  palpitations and want to track them. I now wear it 24/7. I've tried pain meds but nothing works. I googled fitbit and arm pain and saw these posts. Now I wonder if it could be the fitbit causing the pain. But I don't understand how or why that could be possible.

I am better now, it's all about body mechanics, I think. I am wearing my
vera on my right arm and taking it off at night. I have a stand for my
cellphone. Between the Fibit and cell my right wrist and shoulder were
getting worse. Carpal tunnel excise helping, turn out the shoulder was
being jammed up the way I would sit with elbow on the hard surface, holding
my cell. On top of that I read the paper the same way. My wrist is so
good and I have been massaging my upper arm. I will more than likely go
back to the right wrist, once the shoulder is completely healed. Internet
has a lot of excise for carpal. Good luck. It's work but worth it

I don’t know and I’m not a fan of conspiracy theories 🙂 but when my shoulder wrist or arm hurts I take it off for the night 🤷‍:female_sign:

Yup that's a good idea. I know we're all being watched by the big four, I
think that we are in a big research project. You hide in cave that would be
no fun. Take care of your shoulder, I found that between my cellphone and
Fitbit, I have to be be mindful.

I have been wearing my Charge HR and working out 5-7 days per week since August 2018.  When COVID shut all the gyms down, I started noticing left shoulder pain (arm I wore Fitbit on).  I heard rumors about Fitbit may cause pain, so I took it off 4 days ago and my pain is almost back to 0 and lifting at my pre-COVID break weight within 2 days with no discomfort.  Definitely not wearing a Fitbit again.

My shoulder pain is gone, I still have my fitbit, it's on my right wrist
now. What was causing pain, it was poor body mechanics, after researching
and going over what I do with my left wrist. My problem became evident, I
used my left hand to hold my cell phone, while reading the paper Iean on my
elbow which is on the arm of my chair. I realized that I have carpal tunnel
syndrome , my elbow was shoving it into my shoulder. I started exercising
my arm and wrist, there were suggestions on the web, they worked, also I
have a stand for a cell phone and read it without holding it, and I don't
lean on my elbow and more. So check it out the fitbit keeps me walking and
exercising.

Thanks for the update Glorysm43. I've been experiencing similar pain, it's reduced quite a bit (since taking my Fitbit off a week ago), but hasn't gone completely.

Try some exercises for carpal tunnel, don't ware it while sleeping. I
changed arms and that has helped

I have been wearing the Versa for a year now both day and night. I like to track my sleep. The pain started in my shoulder in certain positions and it has moved to my bicep and elbow. The elbow pain is unbearable. I have not slept in the watch for 2 nights and the pain is greatly reduced. I just by chance wanted to see if anyone else was having this problem because I never really thought it could be the Fitbit- but it looks like that is the problem. Now how to track steps and sleep without losing mobility of your arm and being in terrible pain.

I’ve had to completely stop wearing mine at night. I was alternating but was still in pain. I really would Ike to go back to the one I had without the heart rate monitor. I didn’t have any pain with that. Arm is just getting back to normal and it took months

I love my fitbit, like you I have had the same problem with my left arm. I
quit wearing at night and changed arms, it is on right. I started doing
exercises, that are for carpal tunnel. I'm much better now. What I also
found out that it's the arm that I use for my cell phone, now I have a
asmall stand for the phone.
