I was using my Blaze today in exercise mode, choosing "bike". I paused the exercise while our group ate lunch. During lunch, the Blaze apparently decided it had been paused for too long, and terminated the exercise session. Is there a limit to how long you can pause an exercise and expect to still be able to resume it? Just wondering.

Hello @anitacan it's great to have you here! 😉 I went for a run to test what you mentioned and my activity didn't stop after a 20 minute pause. Did you feel the vibration when the activity ended? Where you able to see the results of your activity? Was this a one time event?
I'll be around if you have any questions.

@anitacan I encountered a similar issue last week when I was doing a ride in my area. I encountered a neighbor and paused to stop and talk with him. After about 20 minutes I went to resume and instead had to restart the exercise. I am wondering if this could have been a "feature" in the firmware release I had at the time.
I updated to the latest firmware today so plan to do a test with the Bike mode again tonight and see what occurs.
Will let you know what I find after the ride.

It did vibrate and I did see my results. But it was paused and ended the exercise on its own. I haven't tried it again.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Andhanni! 🙂 Thanks for sharing your experience, keep me posted about your Bike ride. @anitacan where you wearing long sleeves or something next to the tracker that might cause the exercise to pause?

@anitacan due to wether issues could not do my test until last evening. But was able to start it and then ride for about 10 minutes (I know short, but it was a test) and stop at a neighbors house. I paused the exercise and talked with him for about an hour. Then I was able to resume the ride and it tracked for the entire time without issue.
Now the difference between yesterday and my experience last time was I have the newer code on the device now. So that could been one of those unreported bug fixes 🙂
Anyway hope this helps some.

@anitacanThat will happen if you´re on a Samsung Android smartphone or with an android that has Energy saver mode activated.
Let me know if that is the case

Actually, if you did this correctly the blaze would pause automatically and you would not need to manually
do this. I have requested this feature but apparently it is not very important to most users....... my problem is either forgetting to MANUALLY pause or to START again after I have paused....seems like this should be ease to accomplish but.....

This happens to me too - but I'm pretty certain it's because I accidentally touch the screen while it is lit, inadvertantly pausing or continuing. Occasionally I've actually accidentally ended the session. I've learned simply to not allow the face of the Blaze to touch anything while the screen is lit.
