Welcome to the Community @Slclark. Keep in mind that your phone needs to be a compatible in order to work properly with our trackers. I recommend checking our list of compatible mobile devices to see if your phone is listed. Also, if it is not you can always sync your tracker with a computer.
Catch you later.

Here's my issue with this issue (see what I did there?). Why does a $200 fitness tracker make my $800 phone obsolete? Is there some lisencing problem as to why some brand phones' models ALL work with FitBit products and some are only partially covered? I mean, the v20 is an AWESOME phone. My previous phone was a G5 (also awesome, also doesn't work with my Blaze). So, is there at least a reason for this? Can we get it explained? Is there a suggestion thread? Is there a list of UPCOMING phones that will EVENTUALLY be compatible? Consumers should have this information. Thanks!

I use an Asus Zenfone 3 ZE552KL (4/64, the same as my Zenfone 2, ZE551ML), and I don't have any issues with anything. Both of these phones, since there are different versions of it, are the US versions, and I live in Canada.
As I said before that list should not be relied on at all. If you can download the app onto your V20 and use it, the same way that I download and installed it onto my Zenfone 2 and 3, then it's considered compatible. We had this issue with the OnePlus 3. I said the only way to know, is to download it and install it. If it works, it's compatible.

Welcome to the Community @Coolerfull and @Driver8666 thanks for stopping by and the information. Our team is hard working in testing the compatibility of several phones, I always recommend to keep an eye on our list of compatible mobile devices for any update. My phone is not compatible and my Blaze works excellent with it. You can try to paired your trackers and sync them with your phones but just remember that if a feature doesn't work is because the mobile is not compatible.
Also keep in mind that you can always sync and check your information from a computer.
Catch you later.

@Coolerfull If you want to track an exercise with GPS, first you need to check if that exercise have the GPS option by doing the following from your Blaze:
1. Swipe to Exercise
2. Select your activity
3. Check if the activity have a setting icon in the lower left corner
If it does, please be sure that you have your bluetooth, location and internet on. Then you just need to start the activity.
See you around.

@Coolerfull you might not be concerned about notifications, but your tracker uses the Fitbits notification services to connect to your phones GPS.
So go to your trackers settings - call and text notifications - on the top right turn it on. Now you can set or disable the text and call below.

the FitBit App HAS TO BE OPEN!
EUREKA! I now have hope for the v20 again!

No. Both iOS and Android have:
- Notification Service that directly sends notifications (text, Facebook, calendar, etc) to the Blaze, without the Fitbit app
- Location Service that requires the Fitbit app to request location updates. When the Fitbit app receives GPS data from iOS/Android, the app is responsible for sending GPS to the Blaze.
In the first case there is no Fitbit notification service. In the second case the Fitbit app is simply relaying GPS between your phone and the Blaze.
Now if call/text notifications need to be enabled for connected GPS to work, that is some weird Fitbit thing because at a high-level the two are completely unrelated (one is direct connection between phone and Blaze, the other requires Fitbit app to be a relay).

@AlejandraFitbitI have a Sony Xperia XP which is not on the list. Currently with my testing I'm logging in and out on the Android with 2 x Blazes, 2 x Surges and 1 x One. I haven't missed a sync or had a Fitbit error message since I upgraded a few months ago. All notifications and alarms are working.
I was blaming my home environment with, WiFi, 3 x mobile phones, the dongle, wireless keyboard and mouse even my Bluetooth hearing aids. I was blaming this for my issues with Z1. When I'm out walking, the phone connects perfectly to the main Blaze and no interference if having 4 other Fitbits on your body could interfere. If I sit while having a breather and logout and login to the other Fitbits.... All works perfectly.
I achieved this with help from @gardamund in Norway who has the Sony Z5. see this link

UPDATE ***** I still have the Blaze and the V20 myself. It gets "stuck" and won't sync time and again. Don't follow the steps on the website, at least I don't anymore, because I simply uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it fixes it every time. I don't use a lot of the exercise tools too often, but the sleep tracker works great.

just spent 45 minutes on the phone with Fitbit support. I bought the blaze a week ago...worked fine until this morning and now it won't sync. The tech support says it's because of my Lg G5 phone...so basically I have a $300 paper weight. I also have 2 charge trackers that have fallen apart. I'm beginning to think this product is garbage. Beyond pissed

@TanGD I'm sorry to read that. Did he give a reason.?
I say that because my current Sony Android is not on the Fitbit list.
Early last year my other Sony was giving me all sorts of issues with my Blaze. Fortunately I was due for a new phone and this one is on Android V7. The old phone was on Android V4 then V5.
So the last 5 months I haven't had any issues with the Blaze interfacing with Fitbit. Maybe that information may help.

They said it is because my phone is not on the compatible list of phones..it is an android phone and the blaze worked with it until I charged it this morning. Then the time went crazy.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and unpaired the device from Bluetooth several times. Finally I got it to work.
I may take it back to the retailer and choose a different brand fitness tracker as I don't want to have these issues all the time.
The thing is...I had a charge before this and never had 1 issue with syncing. Weird.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, that list should not be trusted. I have an Asus Zenfone 3 (ZE552KL, model only available in Canada), and I don't have any of the issues that are being described.
