Pretty sure the latest firmware update broke my blaze

Hi, I just wanted to jump on here and share my recent experience with my blaze. I got it as a gift this past Christmas and its been working great, up until this past Monday when I did the newest firmware update. Once I did the update the quick view wouldn't work at all (yes it was turned on in settings), any sort of tapping would not wake it, I need to press the side button to turn the screen on, and it will randomly turn the screen on itself, even while being off my wrist sitting on a desk. The other issue is it doesn't count my steps at all, well it does sometimes, but its VERY random when it does. I've reset it many times, I've did a shutdown many times, nothing works to get it back to where it was. So in the end, I suspect the update broke it, since that's when all the issues started. It might just be coincidence, but that's what I figure. I did contact fitbit via the chat yesterdat and since it is under warranty they are sending me a new one. I just hope that the update doesn't essentially brick the new one.

and to boot, my wife literally just received her new blaze on Wednesday, and did the update. It hasn't seemed to really effect hers though. anyway, hope this helps someone out.

It's great to see you around @RAYNDOG3 thanks for troubleshooting this inconvenience by yourself and for the information. I am glad to hear that you will be receiving a new tracker. At the moment of receiving you just need to do the following from your Fitbit app to set it up:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon.
  2. Tap Set Up a Device.
  3. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue.
