Problems changing Blaze timezone

I use my Blaze as my primary wristwatch, and have no problems with it in this role unless I change timezones, which I do fairly frequently on visits to the East Coast of the US from my home in Chicagoland. Since you can't simply change the displayed time or local timezone on the watch itself (a serious flaw, IMHO), and I don't have a smartphone to sync it to, I have to wait (with it an hour out) until I am somewhere where I can plug in my laptop (already set to the new timezone) to try and resync it with the new time. I say 'try' because it can take up to six attempts before it accepts the new time. At each attempt, it goes through the normal syncing process, and picks up current steps, etc., but continues to show the time corresponding to the time zone I have left. I have tried various approaches to getting it to switch reliably, including restarting the computer, exiting from and rerunning the App, and resetting the Blaze before syncing it. Nothing seems to work except doing it again and again until it 'clicks'. This is driving me crazy!
