Re: Blaze not receiving text call and calendar alerts

Didn't work... Tried reset and noticed that the syncing line only went half way and stopped; tried it three more times, same thing.  So I did a remove and install a new Blaze; same thing Blaze won't sync past the half way point.  Any idea what's going on?  Or did I get a bad Blaze?

@BlandMan I've moved your post out of the message thread and into its own.

I'm wondering if this line you see is a sync line or a installing new firmware line.

Since this is your there is no history to see what is not happening.

Is this the initial setup your doing, or has it been working fine and just stopped syncing?

I'm wondering if this line you see is a sync line or a installing new firmware line. - It's a sync line; even though my firmware version is 8.200.3 and the latest version is 8.301.4. The site says "Tap the pink arrow next to the tracker name at the top of the screen. If you don't see an arrow, no update is available." But there is???

Is this the initial setup your doing, or has it been working fine and just stopped syncing? - I got it last Wednesday, set it up, and until yesterday it was working fine. Since the restart didn't work, I tried reinstalling the app; that didn't work. So I thought I would see if there was any firmware updates; there is but the app doesn't show it.

I guess I'll take it back to Target and exchange it for a different one, and maybe it will work like it is supposed to.

Did you do a reset of the Blaze? Hold the left and bottom right buttons until you see the Fitbit logo screen. Also make sure no other devices are nearby with Bluetooth on. Sometimes my Blaze will attach to my iPad if it nearby.

Hello @BlandMan welcome to the Fitbit Community! Are you still experiencing issues with your Blaze? Did you exchange it at the store? @KiloLima64 and @Rich_Laue thanks for your cooperation! 🙂

How do I get text messages on Fitbit Blaze? I have it set up as a notification in my settings via the Fitbit app. Oddly, I am receiving emails, calendar and snapchat notifications.

Welcome to the Community @BB3Robot Happy If you are not getting text notifications, then I suggest you to take a look of the steps below:

  1. Restart your Blaze.
  2. On your mobile device, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
  3. Turn off Bluetooth, wait 10 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.

If you're still not receiving notifications, set up notifications again:

  1. Tell your mobile device to "forget" your tracker:
    1. On your mobile device, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
    2. Tap your tracker and then tap Forget Device.
    3. Log out of the Fitbit app.
  2. Reboot your mobile device.
  3. Restart your Blaze.
  4. Turn on notifications for your tracker:
    1. Open the Fitbit app and tap Account.
    2. Tap your tracker.
    3. Find an option to turn on your notifications.

Let me know if that works!
