Re: Increase vibration strength?

Has anyone here tried a different watchband style and noticed a difference? The watch itself seems to vibrate strong, it just gets diminished in the band and frame before it hits my wrist bones. Was thinking about trying a third-party band that looks like it would fit better and pass on more vibration. Anyone done this yet?

I switched to one of the leather bands but really haven't noticed a difference.

The vibration is weak, whichever band you use. I had SS and standard, neither of which showed any significant difference.

I've actually tweaked the original band a bit with much success, if I put a
little pencil tip eraser size nub under the band on the SIDE of my wrist, I
found the vibration to be MUCH stronger. There's a slight gap between the
band and my wrist right at the bone contact. (the band isn't exactly
form-fitting and I don't want to have it so tight it strangles my hand)...
But with that little nub taped in place, I don't have to have it so tight
and I feel it much better. When I take the watch out of the frame and hold
it, I notice that the vibration is much stronger than I originally thought.
There is a LOT of loss between frame and silicone band.

Not rube goldberg-ing it -yet- lol... Just a simple, singular addition to the band.

Yes, absolutely! I bought a cheap metal mesh bands on Amazon (gold Rose and Brown) and it doesn't vibrate stronger, but it vibrates around my wrist - in other words, the metal band is picking up the vibration - so now it vibrates around 3/4's of my wrist - definitely more noticable. I love every other thing about my Blaze so I am not sending it back - the new band seems to help, and it is just enough for me to notice it. I guess I'll have to buy another Blaze when the come out with a permanent fix, but for now - this works better than with the silicon band. Definitely worth a try.

it never even occurred to me that it was the band--i thought that FB made a magical "adjustment" of some kind without an update? i have been wearing a leather band (tooled silver metallic) and a frame that is black metal, but a different style than the original it covers the top and bottom edges of the blaze--i still feel strong vibrations.  perhaps the original open design of the fb frame is affecting the vibration strength.  if i have my hand resting on a table and the watch vibrates you can absolutely feel/hear the difference.  i gave up setting the morning alarm in April, but i am going to try it again for the am.

I just bought the Charge 2 - upgrading from the Charge HR - because of all of the added silent alarm features. To my dismay, I can barely feel the vibration. The actual fitbit unit is bigger than the HR one - so I don't understand why the vibration is less. AngelaFitBit -  What can be done to make it stronger so that this functionality can accomplish what it's intended to accomplish (Alert me!!). thanks, Heather
