My wife gave me her Blaze to track my fitness etc and I created another account and set the fitbit up accordingly. She has gone into her phones Bluetooth and forgotten the Blaze but I am still receiving her text message notifications. I am setup on a different email address and account to hers so there is no link between the 2. Any ideas on how I can stop this?

I'll give that a go and post with results.
Ok just tried that and no go. Still receiving her text messages on the Blaze. I double checked her bluetooth devices and it's def not showing up there. It appears below as a discoverable device but is not connected to her device at all. Her fitbit app is showing no devices connected either just to clarify that as an issue which I saw as a solution before.

Welcome to the Community @moon_child_25! Thanks for trying the procedure posted by @SunsetRunner. I remember I used to get this type of issue. However, you just need to forget her device in your phone's Bluetooth. The reason why you're receiving her notifications is because her Blaze is paired to your phone.
Let me know how it goes.

Let me clarify things because it sounds like everyone is confused. My wife gave me her Blaze. I set it up with my account. She deleted it from her Bluetooth devices, from her fitbit account and it isn't on her phone in any other way than being discoverable in her bluetooth screen but not connected. I have setup the Blaze with my account, have connected it to my fitbit account and have it on my bluetooth screen as connected on my phone. I am receiving her text messages each time she receives them on my Blaze. I tried the reset as stated above but almost straight after the Blaze came back on I received another text message for her phone.

Yes she deleted it from her Fotbit devices in her Fitbit account, but has not removed it from her phones Bluetooth settings screen.
For the record, all you needed to do was set the tracker up to your account, at this time it would automatically have been removed from your wifes account.

This should be impossible which is why everyone is probably a little confused. In theory, there's absolutely no way that the Blaze can get notifications without a link to the phone in question so perhaps some sort of residual link remains?
Have you tried re-pairing the Blaze with her phone and then methodically breaking the connections again?
The other problem here is that the Blaze is only capable of connecting to one phone at a time so if it is really connected to yours, it's doubly impossible to be receiving anything from hers.

That is exactly what I thought! I went through loads of forums on here looking for an answer and tried all of the solutions that I found to similar problems but nothing worked. I cannot work out how it is even possible to recieve text message notifications if the Blaze isn't connected to the phone that is getting the text messages. This is the reason I put so much information into the original post. It has to be impossible to get them if the Blaze isn't connected to the phone but I swear I am receiving her text messages on my wrist. I will try pairing it again and then forgetting it on her phone to see if that resolves it and like you said may not have cut the link correctly but I have little faith in it doing anything if it isn't connected. I'm to the point of trying anything right now though as everything else I have tried hasn't stopped it.

I have the exact same thing. I had a blaze then changed to the new charge 2 so gave the blaze to my husband. He set it all up to his account but gets my messages. It's so weird and annoying. If anyone knows how to fix it please let me know!

Just to update on mine. Problem not solved. Still receiving text messages for my wife's phone. It's annoying and there is apparently nothing that can be done about it. The blaze isn't linked to her phone in anyway not via Bluetooth or on an account. She has deleted the app from her phone and I've reset my settings and everything in the above replies. I guess I just have to put up with it.

Ours has never resolved either and it's been months. That's the least of our troubles. The blaze never syncs or gets picked up on Bluetooth on any phone! So frustrating!!!

Ok lets look at what happened.
You gave your tracker to somebody else, they connected the tracker to their account, removing the tracker from your account. The problem comes because the tracker has not been removed from the old phone, therefore it is receiving messages from both phones.
How do we fix this? By removing the tracker from the unwanted phone.
Lets go to the unwanted phones Bluetooth settings screen and remove the tracker from here.

It's been done rich. Its removed. Deleted. Restored. New iPhones in between all that reset all network settings. It's some fault that obviously has no fix.

If the old phone doesnt know about the tracker it can not send any messages to it.
Where did you delete the tracker on the phone? It needs to be removed in two places. Through the app, and through the phones Bluetooth. Once it is removed from the Bluetooth there is no way the messages can be sent to the tracker, since you have broken the bond.

Same thing is happening to me. Wife gave me her blaze and she got a different kind. I'm getting her notifications. The blaze is NOT connected to her Bluetooth and NOT connected to her account.

@Rtiem16 you need to check your wifes phone again. Open the phones settings - bluetooth - look at the devices. If your wifes phone still knows about your tracker it should be listed here. If your tracker is not listed in her bluetooth connected devices it should not be able to comunicate with the tracker on your arm. If it still is, the problem is in her phone and the first step would be to either restart or shutdown her phone.

@Rich_Laue you have to actually read these posts before you try and help. They have deleted it everywhere, and in one case, got completely new phones. I've had this same thing happen for months now. Yes, in theory this is impossible, but it's happening, so stop saying it can't be happening and don't comment if you don't have a solution or it isn't happening to you.

I can 100% confirm this behavior. I am having the exact same problem. I received a new fit bit blaze for Father's Day and I am receiving all of my wife's text messages and my daughters text messages on my Blaze. My wife has an ulta and my daughter has the model before for that… Can't remember the name. My device has never been paired with either phone and yet anytime we are all in the same room, I will get their text messages on my blaze. Would love to see a solution to this

Are the messages JUST being received on the Blaze, or do they show up on your phone as well?
