My wife gave me her Blaze to track my fitness etc and I created another account and set the fitbit up accordingly. She has gone into her phones Bluetooth and forgotten the Blaze but I am still receiving her text message notifications. I am setup on a different email address and account to hers so there is no link between the 2. Any ideas on how I can stop this?

Hey there @GlueMouthKid! It's pretty weird that you're getting their notifications in your Blaze. I would like you to make sure that your Blaze isn't paired to their phones by going to Bluetooth settings > search for Blaze and it should show in the Bluetooth devices but shouldn't show as "paired". Also, unpaired your tracker from your phone's Bluetooth.
After this, please set the notifications once again.
It's great to have you here @macgurlnet! The notifications will show in your Blaze and in your phone as well.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

The messages are showing up on my Blaze as well as their phones.
I think that I have it fixed finally.
First off - it turns out that my wife and daughter had both paired the Blaze to their phones in an attempt to get it set up and functioning before giving it to me. So my initial post was inaccurate regarding that.
So I went into both the Fitbit App and the bluetooth settings on both their devices and made sure that the Blaze was unpaired and forgotten in both places. Then I rebooted their phone.
I then turned off notifications within the Fitbit app on my phone. Powered it down and turned it back on, then went in and turned back on notifications.
So far, so good.

I am having the same issue. Now before we get a bunch of uninformed replies, I work for a tech company I am very well versed in new tech. I bought a Fitbit Blaze one week later the Ionic came out so I bought the Ionic. I now have the Ionic and I gave my wife my Blaze. I deleted it from my phone reset it to factory and cleared it out of my app before I gave it to her so it was like new. She is still getting my texts even when I am not around! I was at work today and she was getting my texts. It is not a Bluetooth issue! Which means that if anyone gets a Blaze second hand they also are getting your texts! Hopefully Fitbit will address this issue soon!

The blaze only has Bluetooth communication so it therefore has to be a Bluetooth issue.
Have you checked that the Blaze is no longer a trusted Bluetooth device on your phone?

Anyone ever find a fix for this?
I gave my my husband my old blaze and I got a new blaze. He now gets both his texts and my texts, anytime we are near each other. He has an android phone and I have an apple. Thanks.

Elk I @stephl3200 you want to follow @SilviaFitbit's post above, and remove the Blaze you gave to your husband from your phone.

Coldusmc. I know its been a while since you posted but wondering, did you have your fitbit linked to other devices? i.e your phone and a computer or tablet? does your wife only get your messages when she is home or all the time?
This sounds like you have some kind of message sharing on (maybe Imessage or similar). So its not being shared from you phone but the "other" device?

the issue turned out to be apple. iMessage was sharing my texts with my laptop at home. And the laptop was paired with the Fitbit.

I hope you now have it sorted. I have just been having issues with my daughter getting all my text messages on her blaze. I just contacted fitbit and they gave me this link to follow which showed how to restart the fitbit. I basically had to restart both my fitbit and hers and then go into both our fitbit apps and set up a new fitbit replacing the one already there. This resolved the issue.

I can't delete this

If you have had a Fitbit connected to multiple phones, this sharing of notifications is a possibility.
To stop the wrong phone(s) from sending notifications, simply remove the Fitbit from the offending phones Bluetooth list of devices .
im assuming the Fitbit app on the offending phone is not logged into the wrong account.

That doesn't work. Everyone else on here who has had the problem has said that they deleted it from both the app and from bluetooth yet they were still receiving messages. This is because it is linked by fitbit account (email) which isn't visible on the phone (bluetooth or fitbit app). The only way to resolve it is to restart the fitbit and then go to the fitbit app and set your own fitbit back up as a new device.

The phone simply sends notification to the tracker(s) that are paired to the Bluetooth. If the phone has no connection to the tracker run there can not be any communication.
If the Fitbit app is not logged ontoithe email account that the tracker is connected to .the app will not try and pair the tracker.

The same thing is happening to me and I am receiving texts on my Blaze that are to my husband, and texts on my Blaze that are to me. Yes, both. I have restarted. We have paired and unpaired and checked our bluetooth settings.

While otiis possible to un-pair the user can not pair a tracker to a phone. @leadwyre therefore I'm not understanding what you mean by paired.
Does your husband's bluetoothBon his phone only show his tracker as being connected?

It's worth contacting fitbit. I used the online chat facility. It seems to be a common problem with blaze and they need to be aware that this keeps happening.

Rich, a fitbit is registered to an email account. For some reason, in my case, my daughter's fitbit suddenly reset itself to register with my email. Bluetooth had nothing to do with it. She was getting my messages whilst 10 miles away from me and my phone. I kept going through the steps to unpair it from my account but it kept re-attaching itself. There were no bluetooth settings detectable. It malfunctioned so I was sent a brand new fitbit under warranty.
