For the last two nights my Blaze has recorded active minutes while I slept (while still recording my sleep and wake times correctly), and this morning it recorded at least 45 minutes of activity while I was sitting relatively still and reading. It does not seem to be recording extra steps and when I check my exercise log it does not show any workouts that I did not do, so I am at a loss to figure out where this new activity is coming from. This is also causing my estimated calories burned to be much higher than they should be as well. I have had the Blaze for over 4 months and this has only come up in the last 2 days.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @ness21! I would like to know if you are still getting active minutes while you sleep? If you are please answer the questions @Kait5991 asked, since this will help me determine what might be causing this information to be recorded? Also did you try the restart process advised by @Kait5991? and if possible please provide me a screenshot showing the active minutes while you sleep.
Catch you later! 🙂

After restarting the tracker yesterday it stopped recording active minutes when I wasn't active and when I slept last night, so it's resolved now.
The attached picture shows my active minutes from Sunday - I was sleeping from midnight to 7am but somehow had an hour's worth of activity before 7am.

i woke up this morning to see 20 "active minutes"...i was puzzled until i read this thread.
I had a particularly violent nightmare that i awakened from around midnight with my heart pounding, (thought i could actually hear it in my ears i was so scared). that must have been it.

Hi there @ness21, good to see you around and great to see that it has been fixed for you!
@Fands, that does make a lot of sense... I can suggest drinking chamomile tea before sleeping, this will help you relax and hopefully also prevent any nightmares.

Interesting about the heart beat affecting the active minutes. I had a stressful drive home this evening, my heart rate was elevated; explains why all the extra active minutes occurred while I was driving. Is there any way of deleting them?

Manually add a record of driveing for the period on question.

Good to see you in the Community Forums @Poodlemama! 🙂
To add to @Rich_Laue's great advise, I can recommend using the DriveBit app as well. This app will let you tell it when you start driving and when you've stopped driving, so if you notice this to happen again, you can try it out and it will automatically log the driving activity for you to prevent the time you were in the car from showing any activity.
For more information on the app, click here.

I've had this problem a few times where my Blaze records high calories and active minutes between midnight and 8am - and I'm NOT wearing my watch! It throws my whole day's numbers off!
Example: this morning when I put my watch on, it showed 2428 cal and 160 active minutes during the following times: 12AM-2:30AM, 4AM, 6AM, 8AM, 9-10AM. But I didn't put my watch on until after 10am!
There doesn't seem to be any way to reset it. The good news is that in the past instances, the next day everything was back to normal. Hopefully that'll be the case tomorrow!
BTW ~ I tried pushing the left and lower right buttons as suggested, but all that did was bring up my notifications. Nothing changed. 😞

My Fitbit versa lite is recording active minutes from the moment I wake up. I have restarted my Fitbit and it is still doing the same. Any advice on how to fix this as nothing is calculating correcting (heart rate, calories, etc..) Thank you.
