Replacing a Blaze with a non-Fitbit device. Suggestions?

My Blaze is dying, quick, and Fitbit does not seem to care they’re about to lose me and my family (four different devices purchased, all with issues, but that’s for another post...).  So, I’m asking (before Fitbit pulls this thread down):

 

What fitness watches (that aren’t Fitbit) that also do smartwatch/phone alerts would you recommend?  I’m leaning towards the Garmin Vivoactive HR. Anyone have experience with it?

I have a Garmin Vivoactive HR And I prefer the fitbit more.

 

The Garmin never syncs and they always tell me to remove the Program and re-install it. I find that to be a pain.

The Garmin Vivoactive HR is really good. I've never had the issues that I did with the Blaze. 

 

I totally understand your feelings about moving your family to another brand. We've done the same. I used to know dozens of people with FitBits. All but one has moved onto something else. And that one, a Blaze has been very frustrating for them.
