Returning my Blaze :(

Well, after a week, I am sad to report that I am returning my Blaze and will return to my Surge. Perhaps my expectations were too high?

1. heart rate monitor is not accurate

2. did not correctly calculate my steps (My Surge and a Pedometer agreed)

3. After a devide reset the Blaze would not connect to any device

4. After two calls with the HelpDesk, we got it to connect only to notice battery life was very low

5. Battery life continues to be much shorter than advertised (I'm not using GPS)

6. Display should be larger

and finally

7. Charging this device is maddening. This design is beyond stupid. Having to remove this from the band, inserting it into a clamshell cage and the snapping it shut. Nothing intuitive or thought out here.

I will happily go back to my Surge and just live with it until it dies. Hopefully by then, FitBit will have an improved version.

That's sad and I'm sorry you're having these issues, can you not exchange it for another and give it a try?
The blaze blows the surge out of the water in my opinion.

I am returning my blaze as well after 1 week. Going back to my charge hr. The charging cradle idea sucks, the display is not responsive like the charge, the clock faces are not that great, I can't shower with it (apparently) and the vibration is way too weak.

Find it odd you should not be showering with it . The only device you can is the flex.

@cmlegend i agree that the charging doc is not what i wpuld have considered when designing. Personally i would have like to see a contactless charger like my phone has, but this to has a drawback in that the extra coil tends to Caseys more heat and this leads to early battery failure.

The tapping is not like the Charge that depends on movement detected by the XYZ senor, where as the Blaze depends on a gentle touch, amd release. It has a touch screen, something the Chatge lacks.

The quick view i find responds the same as the Charge HR.

The bidet prepubescent with showering is not that our is getting wet, but that the tracker is receiving a high pressure water stream which can force is way into cracks. Not even a watch rated at 5ATM's, as the Surge, is reconvened bit to be worn in a shower.
