I just got my Blaze and have everything working perfectly, except for Text Notifications. The notification does pop up on my blaze, but the bubble only says "1 Message" or "2 Messages", and so on. If I tap on it, it doesn't open the text detail...rather, it pops up a digital notification that says, "Now" and then below that it says the service I'm using for text..in this case it says, "Message+". I've tried using Hangouts, Messages, and now Messge+. They all do the same thing. I saw another post that mentioned that I have to turn on "message preview" in the text app, but none of those apps have that option. Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place? Maybing there's something else I need to do?

Turns out there was just some kind of odd glitch. I had to go in and disable Message Preview and Popups, then I went back and re-enabled them. That did the trick. The only thing that is strange now is that if there are two messages at one time, it then only shows me the name(s) of the sender(s) and how many messages. Single messages work just fine.

I have the S6 Edge and mine seems to working fine. When I get a notification, I don't tap on it, I just swipe up to see the message. Sorry, I know I'm not a lot of help...

Thanks for the reply. At least I know that it "should" work. What
messaging app are you using?

Got it. I think that is the one that is just called "Messages" and is the native Android app for SMS/MMS messaging. Weird that mine doesn't display the text message itself. Ok, thanks.

Hello @swilliams918, @Tori8150 and @szidlon, it's great to have you here! @swilliams918 are you still experiencing the issue when you receive two messages at one time? Have you tried to swipe up to see the if you can see the other messages?
Keep me posted! 🙂

@AngelaMa I can receive multiple messages and view the full text, however, I noticed yesterday that there is a substantial delay before they show up on my Blaze. ie: I had an entire text conversation with my sister and the messages/replys from her did not show up for hours. I don't know if it's that I am not on "sync contiously" or another issue. I connect mainly by wifi at the office and at home. I guess I had not noticed the timing delay until yesterday. S6 Edge/AT&T

I'm not the original poster, but I also have the problem when I receive multiple messages from the same person before I have had a chance to read the first one (which usually happens because I am not getting a vibration notice). I get a notification that just says how many messages I have. I just had it happen a bit ago and wish now I had not erased the notification so that I could attach a photo for you. (Android/Samung Galaxy S5, using the native Messages app).
And to hijack this thread further, I am more often than not no longer getting a vibration alert on my messages. I know that to be the case because I am sitting at my desk and received two texts for which I felt no vibration (I did originally, albeit the weak vibration I have already commented about). I thought it might be a low battery problem, but the same is happening after a full charge. Any suggestions?

Hello @szidlon, @carmelukis and @nlmux thanks for stopping by! 🙂 @carmelukis To disable the message notification on your Blaze you just need to do the following:
1. On the Fitbit app dashboard, tap your tracker, and then on the device screen, tap your tracker
2. Tap Allow notifications access and turn off access to the Fitbit Notification Service.
@szidlon If notifications are delayed, you can turn on a persistent notification widget to help improve the delivery of notifications to your tracker, to do so:
1. Open the Fitbit app on your mobile device and tap your tracker tile at the top of your mobile dashboard.
2. Tap your tracker tile a second time and tap Notifications.
3. Turn on Enable Notification Widget.
@nlmux is your Blaze vibrating when you reach your goal? or when you set up an alarm? Is this issue related only to message alerts? Also is your phone near your tracker when you receive the messages? It will be great if you can share the photo you mentioned so I can further investigate.
Keep me posted! 🙂

Thank you for the response. I uninstalled/reinstalled the Blaze from my account. That seems to have started the vibration feature again for phone calls and texts (as well as it ever works). Whether that is coincidence, who knows. <shrugs>
I don't know whether I get the vibration/celebration when I reach my goal. Unless I know that I'm about to reach my goal and keep an eye on my Blaze I don't feel the vibration so miss the visual celebration. Since I don't often feel the vibration for texts or phone calls, either, I'm just assuming I get the celebration.
Usually what happens is that I hear my phone ring or get that notification sound. Rather than having to pull my phone out to check, it alerts me to check the watch to see what the message/caller ID/calendar event is. From there I decide whether a response is needed at that time.
I do like the device and am happy to have it. But clearly, it needs some tweaking.

I have an S6 Galaxy Edge... Fitbit Blaze and Verizon Service.... I could see the number of messages but couldn't read them. Dirt Simple FIX!.... On both the phone and Fitbot App. Use Message+. Works GREAT!

A warm welcome to the Community @Irishmannc. If you are having problems reading your messages, I recommend turning off and turn back on this feature. Also keep in mind that if you receive more than 30 messages you won't be able to see the characters since they are a lot messages to show.
Let me know if you need anything else.

Hi, I have a galaxy 6 and fitbit blaze. the problem i am having is when recieving multiple messages from the same sender. it will tell me "2 messages" but will not show me the text. No problems when receiving single text from multiple sender. I find that I have the same problem with my galaxy lock screen. I remember when setting up my blaze that it asked what type of notification to use but do not remember how to get back to that point without resetting everything.
