I am preordering the BLaze and I want to be sure that I have a screen protector for it right away. I have only found one screen protector on ebay that specifically says it is for the Blaze. Would the surge screen protector work?

Every screen protector I've installed, leaves massive finger prints and smears.  I ended up taking them off.

The only screen protectors worth installing are the expensive templates glass. These can be cleaned as easy as any other glass, and will protect most impacts.

I dropped my phone gave down hit a small rock, and shattered the glass protector, the phones screen was unharmed.

The plastic forecastle sheets only protect against scratched and light impacts.

Glad to hear they said you don't need a screen protector, because I somehow managed to scratch mine right down the middle. This means I possibly can get it fixed or a new watch? maybe.

I defintely 100% recommend getting a screen protector, whether its the cheaper versions or the $20 tempered glass which is possibly the best solution. You never know what is going to happen.

I never damage anything and gave my GF a hard time about scratching hers....then what do you know...I scratched mine while putting my backpack on cause the strap scraped against the screen.

I already ordered a tempered glass screen protector. It should be arriving any day now. I have been lucky to not have had a scratch so far, would rather not leave it up to chance. You never know when something will happen to the screen.

Grade three is much thinner and is prone to cracking.

Today I was glad I had a screen protector on my Blaze. Putting on my seat belt the metal buckle that goes into the latch whacked the display of the Blaze and put a nice ding in the protector. I'm sure it would have chipped, if not cracked the display.

I decided against a screen protector due to the gorilla glass, and naturally my blaze developed a small scratch within a month. 😞 I guess when you wear something almost 24/7, scratches are inevitable.

I just ordered these tempered glass screen protectors from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Fitbit-Screen-Protector-Tempered-Anti-Bubble/dp/B01FU0PR8Y/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_pr... They're $6 for 3. I considered kimilar, but all the reviews are from people saying they got the product for free. 😕

They haven't yet arrived, but I use a tempered glass screen protector on my phone, and it was enough to make the tiny scratches on my screen invisible (I bought the phone used). I don't think they would disguise a big scratch, but the ones on my phone and fitbit are the kind you can't really see unless you angle them in the light a certain way.

I think fingerprints on screen protectors are basically inevitable. Some screen protectors have oleophobic coats that resist fingerprints (you'll have better luck with glass screen protectors), but they inevitably wear off unless you replace the screen protector often.

On the contrary. On my 3rd pebble because my first 2 cracked.

Hawk, this is what I thought and I was wrong. My Fitbit Blaze has now a 1/4 long minuscule scratch that doesn't go away. I first thought it was a scuff and wiped it carefully with a cleaner and it seemed it was gone. But once it got dirty (smudges, fingerprints etc) the same scratch came back. Now I can see it under strong light even when it's clean.

Do not rely Fitbit telling you that as I have surge for the second time....they both have crack and it was reported by Fitbit that they are indeed made with Gorilla glass too!

Gorilla Glass 3 or not, I have cracked my screen. I got my Blaze back in November of 2016 and by April 2017 I some how cracked my screen. So, I have ordered another Blaze and a screen protector from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/CAVN-Multi-layer-Explosion-proof-Protector-Anti-Bubble/dp/B01J0V78UE/ref=pd_b...

Long story short. I just installed the screen protector yesterday on a replacement Blaze. So far so good.

Now the long story. I had received another Fitbit Blaze that I ordered from the Holiday Inn Rewards program. In less than 72 hours that screen had cracked while I was using my push mower in a open yard. Just heavy vibrations, no impacts on my arm or Blaze. My screen protectors arrived the next day. So Fitbit did honor the warranty and sent me a replacement. So this makes 3 Fitbit Blazes for me. I cracked the first one within 7 months and all Fitbit would  do was a 25% discount. So, I travel for my job and used reward program point to order 2 of these. I feel Fitbit should have replaced the first unit that I cracked the screen on. But that is a story in itself.

Ask me again in a week or so. But looking at the screen, you cannot tell there is anything on it.

They are made in China by or for CAVN. They are easy to install, as they come in a package of three and I put one on my wife's Blaze also. You can follow this link for Amazon, that is where I got mine for $6.99.
