That pretty well sums up the Fitbit attitude. Great way to run a company. Ignore the customer.

Not at all, do some research and see what is inthe product before you buy, if you don't and expect something there it is your own fault.  Just like the people saying that Fitbit is not listening because they won't "add" the reminder to move notificaiton to the Blaze.  It was not there at release, it was not advertised, and to say that Fitbit is not listening or that the product is faulty is just not right.

Best Answer

Who says that they won't add the reminder to move? I've read just the opposite, but see that the first 2 updates addressed major problems.

Sure Fitbit could release individual firmware for every small update, but then who wants to load firmware one or twice a month?

And you have evidence that Fitbit is listening because? I hear their silence loud and clear.

If you been around the board for a while you know that fitbit very seldom will speak of what is to come. Ive also noticed they don't add updates for the sake of updating, but try to iron out the bugs first. Silence is normal for them, the developers do not post here.

I think that the Blaze should have a second hand, I bought mine to wear at work and I work in transport so need a second hand to make sure my departures are on time, will there be new faces coming out with second hands??????

As fellow Fitbit users we don't have anymore insight then you have.. Did you add your vote to the link mentioned above?

great idea -- I have another suggestion --how about some fitbit feedback -- are you going to do this or not?  The silence on these suggestions from fitbit is angering customers and they not only leave the company, they are advertising your competitors product on this site, letting people know that Garmin already has these features.  FItbit is shooting themselves in the foot by not responding.

Thanks, that's reassuring... not

And when will we see an update that irons out all those bugs? That doesn't seem to happen either.

I find it very strange that Garmin's watches can be always-on for several days AND display the hour, minute and second. Blaze is a smart watch, so shouldn't it be easy to roll out an update?

I have the following in mind when considering a Fitbit product. If it has all features I need at release, I can consider it as an option. If it doesn't, but only promises of fixes that are coming "soon", I would look at something else instead.

No offense, but if it's very important for you to seconds on your watch, it's probably best to sell the Blaze and get another watch instead. Staying here and hoping for a fix will only make you disappointed. The Blaze's feature set won't change. It's released as-is and it's considered to be an appliance that doesn't get updated as soon as it has been sold and put into use.

I wish I could give you a more satisfying answer. It's sad how the Fitbit apologists on this forum advice its users to stick with Fitbit, knowing fully well that the deficiencies will never get fixed in a software update. It's only in a hardware update you might expect meaningful changes.

Sorry,

Well back to the topic at hand...Adding seconds has been on the dev team's radar so it's definitely possible for it to get implemented.

Can highly recommend the garmin vivoactive hr if your frustrated waiting for any blaze update that includes your requirements.
I'm a fitbit premium member who was very underwhelmed when changing from a surge to a blaze. I can confirm that the vivoactive hr can do everything mentioned on this post very well.
Might be worth a try whilst awaiting fitbits next wave of products whenever they reveal their big plans???

A watch with a seconds hand. One of the most basic requirements of a watch...

Mark me as another individual who won't be buying the Blaze because of the lack of a second hand. My old Force finally died, and the Blaze is the only one I can wear because the other high-end devices cause my skin to break out. Even though I would hang the Force on my belt loop, I'm not going to pay for a device that I can't fully use. A timer doesn't work because I'm trying to count someone's heart rate while I'm timing 15 or 60 seconds. I can't use my cellphone because cellphones are not allowed in patient care areas.

Blaze will be getting a new firmware update soon that has new clock faces that have a second hand. However, there is no word if the display on time will adjustable as well. It's kinda pointless to have a clock face with a second hand if the display only stays on for 10 seconds.

I too need a second hand. I am going into a medical assistant college program starting next week and I need a watch with a second hand. I am eagering waiting for the firmware update to see if the display on time is adjustable. It needs to stay on longer than 10 seconds if I am going use my blaze in class. If they don't give this option, I think I just might switch over to an Apple Watch which has an adjustable display on time and a watch with a second hand.

How many votes needed before Fitbit responds? 32 votes on this one of many requests for a Blaze clock face with seconds display

though blaze still does not have a seconds hands. The medical professionals and others that need the feature for their professional needs can use the stopwatch feature temporarily.  Hope that helps.

How fast can you get to the stopwatch? As an EMT, I don't always have the
time to play with buttons, I need my second hand now.

And looking at the advertised watch faces it looks like there will be at least one with a second hand.. Now let's hope the display stays on long enough to be usefull.

Did you vote for the request for a second hand?
