Sensor Cover Defective

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Until recently the sensor cover appeared to be a single piece of plastic that covers the sensors on the bottom of the device.  However while I was cleaning the tracker I noticed some sort of buildup under the plastic itself in a rectangular pattern around the window where the sensor itself can be seen.  I spoke with customer service and the only option I have is to purchase another one with a 25% discount.  If it were due to mistreatment I would understand being outside of the warranty, and that being a "thing".  However this is clearly a manufacturer defect (see the link below for another example of the same issue).

A 25% discount for a new device due to a defect from the manufacturer sounds like exactly the sort of policy that chases your customers away.  Competition is a real thing and treating your customers like they're the same throw-away devices that you manufacture is how you lost me.

It's great to welcome you @Thorin.

Thanks for the feedback provided, our team is always trying to improve things on the devices and all the feedback is really appreciated. Regarding the discount you were offered, if I am not wrong you can use in another device, you can check this page to compare all of our tracker is you want to use it. Also, I recommend taking a look at our warranty policy.

Catch you later. Robot Happy

No thanks. If the products all have short term manufacturer defects like
this one then why would I buy another $100+ device that's guaranteed to
break in under 2 years?

I'm going with another company. Forever. I won't be spending any more
money with you when I spent so much on something less than 2 years ago that
broke because of the way it was manufactured, not because of the way I used
it.
