Should I upgrade to Blaze from Charge 2?

I've got a Charge 2 and fallen in love with Fitbit. I intend to upgrade to Blaze. Is it a good choice? Can you give me some advices? Thanks!

I have both. You can get your cardiac score on the Charge 2 (C-2) where you can't get it on the Blaze.  There are also breathing relaxation exercises on the C-2.  However, the Blaze has more complete notifications if that is of interest to you.  The Blaze also has the ability to pause the exercise progrms where the C-2 does not.  Battery life is about the same.  The C-2 may be more comfortable for you at night.  There are some operational differences in reviewing the screens.  The Blaze is obviously a "watch" and may be more appropriate for more formal occasions.   The C-2 does not have music controls where the Blaze does.  The vibrating alarms may be a bit stronger on the Blaze. Fitstar is available on the Blaze, but not on the C-2.  The Blaze is obviously much larger physically.  The last significant difference is in the way the watches are charged.  You remove the Tracker from the band and case and insert it in a charging block.  The C-2 has a clamping device that clips around the body to charge the tracker.  For me, either way is no big deal but they are different.  Both have replaceable wristbands.

The nice thing about both trackers is they will work together and synch with your Fitbit app on your smartphone or the Dashboard on your computer so you can remove one and use the other without losing data.

I hope this has been of some help.  Others may have further comments.

It's such a nice comparision. I love the Fitstar on the Blaze, but I don't want to lose the VO2 max score on the Charge 2. I'm still considering, maybe I would own both if able to.

Thank you very much!

I too have both. Initially I used to wear the Blaze for general use as it looks much better but then swapped to the Charge 2 when out hiking or exercising as I preferred the display options on the Charge 2.

After a few weeks though I found that I was wearing the Blaze less and less and now prefer the use either the Charge 2 or the One.

As explained in that excellent earlier post, the Blaze and Charge 2 are different but I wouldn't say it would be an upgrade in going from Charge 2 to Blaze. The choice comes down to the features that are important to you and the looks.

If budget allows then having both covers all the bases.

@SteveH, I totally agree with you.  I think the Blaze is referred to as an "upgrade" only because it is more expensive.  However, the reason for the additional expense is probably because it is larger, has a larger screen and possibly a more expensive case.  There could also be  difference in cost of the charging appartus, etc.  However, both trackers are of very high quality and it boils down to certain features and whether a person wants what appears toi be a full-sized watch or something more casual.  It is also possible that there will be future software update so some of the functions currently available only on the Charge-2 are also availabkle on the Blaze and vice versa.

I alternate mine depending on the situation as the devices both synch with the App and the Dashboard.

It's great to see you around @curiousbino@John917 and @SteveH thanks for stopping by and the information provided. I think both trackers are great, they have really useful features. calls and texts are the ones that I love the most. But, I recommend checking our comparison page, where you will be able to see the features that each tracker has to offer and there you will be able to select the one you like the most.
