Very dissapointed with Fitbit ! My silent alarm is absolutely worthless! I had a charge HR and I upgraded to the blaze and I feel like I've been had!

I'm not a heavy sleeper, but mine works fine. My husband, on the other hand, wouldn't wake up if a train came through our bedroom, so the silent alarm won't work for him. But that's not a Fitbit issue, that's my husband's issue!

What I found that helps to ensure the alarm works in the morning is this: go into my alarms, delete out the previous alarm, set new alarm, and then make sure my Fitbit syncs before going to sleep. No issues.

However, I have two alarms set to go off Monday-Friday in the middle of the day to remind me to take a walk. Because they are scheduled for EVERY DAY, they have ALWAYS gone off. Not once have they mysteriously not worked.

Perhaps try scheduling your alarm for the work week at the same time each morning? I think that will fix the issue. Or start with a fresh alarm every night before going to sleep.

You have been had as well as a great many of us. If you go into the feature request section you'll see a topic about this very subject. Hundreds of people agree. Vibration intensity has been an issue since the Blaze was introduced, yet nothing has been done. And no official word from FitBit weather it can be fixed via a software update.

I suggest contacting FitBit directly to discuss your displeasure.

@Vinnysfitbiy Welcome to the Community! I would like you to confirm that you're doing this settin up alarms procedure posted by @SteveH

Also, please provide me with more details about the issue that you're experiencing. Are the alarms vibrating or are they not vibrating enough?

Keep me posted.

The alarms are vibrating but they are so faint they may as well not be! With all of the dissatisfied customers you have who own a blaze I would really think Fitbit should honest find a way to resolve this issue! People upgraded to a blaze with the promise it would be a better product and its lack lustre!

Hi @SilviaFitbit

My blaze does vibrate enough to wake me up, but whether the alarm works at all is very hit and miss, some days it works and some days it doesn't.

I have even been awake sometimes when my alarm is supposed to go off but the alarm hasn't worked, so it's not that I'm sleeping through it.

To start with I thought that the blaze was clever enough to recognise that I was already awake and cancel the alarm, can you confirm if this is the case?

Thanks

Graham

@Vinnysfitbiy Thanks for the details! I just tested the alarm on my Blaze and I believe the reason why it may not be vibrating enough it's because you're wearing it too loose.

However, you may want to vote for this idea because those suggestions are viewed by our engineers.

@Paints @robguitar A warm welcome to the Community! Blaze will not recognize you're awake and turn off the alarm, you need to check the display and let the tracker know you already awake. You may want to post this idea in our Ideas Board because people can vote for them.

Regarding the alarm that vibrate sometimes, can you give me more details about it? Do you have to set it up everyday? Have you tried restarting the tracker?

Hope this helps.

Any tighter it'll cut off blood flow to the hand or the strap will break. The problem is not with how the Blaze is worn, the problem is with how it was designed.

Hi Silvia I deleted my alarms after my last post and set them up again and they seem to be working now. One thing I have noticed is that the length of time my watch vibrates when the alarm goes off seems very short so that might be why people aren't woken up by the alarm?

I have to say I was initially very impressed with my first fitbit but the reliability is very poor, I've switched off notifications as they didn't always work, my alarm seems improved but now my fitbit doesn't sync with my app very often even though it should sync all day. I can't imagine apple world have released their watch with this many bugs...

Easy and simple fix would be to have the vibration only stop if the wearer clicks the top right button on the blaze, for example.

Hi @SilviaFitbit

After a few weeks of regular alarms I've woken up late this morning...

When I checked my app alarm has been turned off, even though I haven't switched it off!

I wish I hadn't bought my blaze , the software is diabolical and the support seems to be non existent.

I was going to buy my girlfriend an alta but this has made my mind up not to spend any more money on your products.

Yep - I had the same issues with the weak silent alarm and sent my blaze back after a couple of days.  Back to the HR for me...

Mine is plenty strong enough to get my intention while I'm awake.. When I'm sleeping no Fitbit as well as most alarm clocks, certainly not my phone, will wake me.

. they might view them, but they have done nothing to fix the problem. this post has been up for almost a year and the watch still has the same problem. i rely on the silent alarm to wake me up to go to work in the morning. i used my fitbit charge HR for almost 2 years until the band broke. i wish i could just replace the band on that one.now i have to wear that one to bed and then change watches in the morning. i did not pay over 230$ to have to do that. it looks like i will be returning it and getting a different watch and maybe a different brand. . i spoke highly of your products to my friends and coworkers. i think that is going to change now.

Thank you so much for your comments @CYeadon! I'm sorry to hear that you feel this way, the Feature Suggestion board is there for the engineers to get ideas of what users want.Currently, I can't confirm all of them will be implemented or provide you with an specific time frame about it.

Once again, Fitbit is always trying to improve Fitbit trackers and website.
