Sleep Monitor Accuracy

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My blaze tells me that my sleep for past 3 days is - 1hr 55, 1hr 53 and 55 mins

Im in bed and asleep for 2330hrs and get up 0700hrs.

I have recently been getting up a couple of times in the night for the toilet so I assume the sleep function just turns itself off on my first awake slot?  thus making this function no use at all unless you sleep solid for the hours you input.

Am I correct in this assumption ?

TIA

I have browsed forum for an answer but unable to locate one

After a week using this blaze I can not see any benefits or improvements over the free apps I already have on my iphone for measuring steps, heartbeat, diet etc.

The blaze sleep monitor is useless and the step counter inaccurate.

Looks like it going on a well know auction site.

I should have done more research before purchase.

Fitness devices measure steps & heartbeat more accurately than apps.

Free apps have no way in monitoring your constant heartrate. Fitness devices have more sensors to be more accurate. Nothing is perfect but it helps you 'tune in' more.

There is the motivational aspect of having budgets, daily goals etc.

It's great to see you around @greenhut. Autodetection is based on your movement. When you haven't moved in over an hour, algorithms assume that sleep has begun, which is confirmed by the length of time your movements are indicative of sleep behavior only. When you wake up or when you make hard movement, you tell your tracker that you're awake and it stops registering your sleep. If you go back to bed, your tracker will start a new sleep cycle, which you can see on your Dashboard.

I hope this helps, catch you later. Woman Happy
