Sleep monitoring malfunction

My sleep function always puts me as asleep up to 2-3 hours after I actually go to bed, which then decreases my sleep average.  I have discovered that no matter the tightness of the band (from really really tight to just fits) nor the position (dominant or non-dominant, outer wrist, inner wrist) if the HR is set to Auto, it doesn't accurately track the time that I fall asleep.  This can be fixed by setting the HR to ON (always on) and then it records properly - naturally however this lowers the time between recharges.

If your a person that wear the tracker 24/7, then no it will not affect the battery life.

The Auto setting only turns it off when the tracker is not on the arm.
