Sleep on dashboard different to in detail

Hi all

For the last few days the amount of sleep displaying on my dashboard is a lot higher than what is detailed when I look at the stats in detail. The chart appears to display the amount on the dashboard. See photos below (13hrs 53 vs 7 hrs 6). This is then telling me that I am reaching my target every night which I am really almost consistently an hour short on!!! Can anyone help?image.jpg

All of a sudden I'm showing up with sleep times of 12-14 hours on the dashboard. When I click through to the sleep log, it's accurate. It's just on a the dashboard, it's doubling. True for the last several days--it even messed up some that were accurate. What's up?

Mine is doing the same thing!

Which Dashboard.?. On the Android, "Old Dashboard", when my sleep pattern is the calculated it shows, "no sleep logged", but when the sleep pattern reverts to the old method it shows the correct amount of sleep.  That is rare, but it happens and I delete the log and create a new one and the pattern appears.

If I use the new Android Dashboard the amount of sleep is accurate.  The same with the PC on both settings.

So no double up here, just the "No sleep logged" on the Old Dashboard which I'm happy about because I know the new sleep pattern is available..

mine is doing the same thing, just started yesterday , on my iphone dashboard  /fitbit Charge 2 .  The clock times are displayed correctly  but the total sleep hours are calculated incorrectly (roughly double) on the dashboard only, but the sleep log itself is still calculated correctly.

Also I am getting a green star for the days when i did not reach my sleep goal.

I was prompted yesterday to install the fitbit update and the same issue is still happening after the update.

Mine has started doing this. It may be related to my having a Charge2 and a Blaze active on the same account. Like it is counting the sleep time from both devices on the dashboard, but only reporting the hours from one device in the details.

Same with mine..what's up with that?

I can't give you any help on this issue other than to say mine is doing the same exact thing.  It's consistently almost doubling my time on the dashboard, but in the detailed sleep log it appears to be spot on correct.  Very frustrating....

Mine too!  Any answer on this?

Has yours been doing this since the recent upgrade?? I think that's when mine started.

Mine has been doing the exact OPPOSITE! It accurately posts the sleep time (11:56-7:39) but then only shows 3hrs 49mins of sleep with 24mins awake... only half of the bar is blue like it stopped tracking partway thru the night. This has happened the last few days. What is going on?

Interesting thing just happened at end of workout... Fitbit app popped up a dialog box asking for permission to access... I clicked yes and magically my full nights sleep showed up. Very random... I have been messing with this app for several days regarding this issue and never a dialog box before... either way it seems to be working... for now!

Ok, so, over the last few weeks my sleep tracker is producing inaccurate summary info of how long I've slept. I slept from 23:30 to 07:27, last night, but my Fitbit summary says I slept for 15 hrs and 7 mins.

if you go into the history, the actual figures are correct but the charts are mapping to the 15 hours figure.

So, according to Fitbit, I have slept more than a sloth!

Any ideas, anyone?

Thanks

Andrew

@Andrewjbland are you looking just at the dashboard  and not tapping through to the detail?

Does the app dashboard and tge web dashboard show the same thing?

Also browse through the thread i moved your post to.

have you found an answer yet? Nobody has been able to provide one for me? Randomly when I got up this morning and checked it appeared to be fixed but then 10 minutes later it updated and was estimating almost 18 hrs sleep again when in fact I'd had 9 hrs and 9 mins!!image.jpg

Hi All,

so, 5 minutes ago I synced the app for the first time today and it showed the correct amount: 6 hrs 43 mins. I then waited a minute and synced again and now it is showing 12 hrs and 54 mins!

if you tap through to the detail, it shows the correct figures, i.e. the 6 hours 43 mins but the chart is picking up the 12 hour figure. So, historically, the charts are incorrect as well.

and yes, this inly happened since the last blaze upgrade. I'm using the iphone app, btw.

Think there's a buglette somewhere...

I have noticed that mine does the same andrewjbland. Initially it is correct and then it adds some

next time I look! Agreed that there must be a big since the last upgrade. How do we get Fitbit to look into it and fix it though?

Hi all just to let you know that I have fixed mine. Upon investigation my app hadn't updated for some time and I wasn't listing as having any updates available. However I was not using the latest version so I uninstalled and re-installed. You won't lose your data doing this and it didn't take long.

I am now using the latest version and my sleep log is accurate again.

Hi I had the same problem. Send to have happened as Fitbit changed the way they monitor sleep ( no with more sleep stages). A simple app refresh has sorted

this for me.

Cheers
