I have the most up to date app and my iphone is up to date as well. Yesterday, my sleep stages tracked, but last night it did not. I've restared the Fitbit, the phone, installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled. Nothing worked. Any idea how to fix?

Sleep stage is back.
the difference between pattern and stage is i start the "begin sleep" or not.
you can try not to start it if you want the sleep stage

Same here... Charge 2 is not recording my sleep, it says my week average is like 2.75 hours this past week, I know I'm tired but I have gotten more sleep that Charge 2 says! Help!

My sleep stages also stopped working. I called costumer service and they had me turn it off and on, uninstall the app and re-install it, etc... Still not working. Now my husband's isn't working either. Very frustrating

I got it to work this night, after reading this https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Blaze/Sleep-stages/m-p/1914659#M52963 yesterday.
But I put Hart Rate to On, instead of Auto. After that Sleep stages did work for me. Sadly Hart Rate On drains the battery.

Mine too does not seem to track stages of sleep after recharging. I am hoping Fitbit has a fix for this as I am trying to collect sleep data for an upcoming Dr appointment.

Mine had never worked.

I have similar experience. In the last week since I installed the update, I got sleep stages on 5 or 6 night and I didn't get it for 2 nights. I changed nothing before not getting stages and similarly didn't change anything getting it back.
It seems to me stages data is related to information collection and maybe to Blaze wearing mode. Last evening I recharged it. After putting it back, probably I set it less tightly as the nights before. It collected heart rate, basic sleeping information but no stages. Today I tightened it and will see whether it will collect stages this night.

The same thing happened to me. Worked for three nights and stopped working.

Update: I did a live chat and discovered my phone is not a "supported device" yet. I have a Google Pixel. Support still helped me attempt to troubleshoot however.
I restarted my Blaze and uninstalled and reinstalled the app. This seemed to fix the sleep stages issue for now along with a few other issues. I now also have the three new clock faces and my resting heart rate is back to where it normally is.
So I have no idea if this actually fixed it but for now it seems to have done the job. Might be worth trying for anyone else.

Reset Fitbit; uninstall and reinstalled apps, try to login-in...keep saying Fitbit.com is down for maintenance.

It started working again! Not sure what it was that caused it to not work one night...must be a small glitch.

Yup. Soon as I did a full charge it didn't record it properly.

This seems to be a fitbit software issue with the company not your device. My friend and I both have Fitbit blazes. For use it didn't work on the exact same night and resumed working the very next night for both of us. Mine didn't track again last night and I would bet hers didn't either.

I had the same issue on my blaze. Went to sleep last night excited to see the new sleep stages this morning and woke up with the old sleep tracking. Seems like it's a blaze problem from what I'm reading here.

Mine didn't work the sleep of Monday night to Tuesday morning. Worked last night though. Might have been a one time thing. I'll send an update of the situation tomorrow.

Recharge not a factor on mine. Sleep stages appeared for about a week but last night recorded the old way. I recharge every day while showering so thats not it.

I'm also having the same issue. Sleep stages worked for several nights after receiving the update but didn't work last night. I thought my battery could be low, but it's half charged when I connected it to my laptop to charge it.

You all are doing better than I am, I have had sleep stages work exactly one night since it was available to blaze users. And it didn't even track the whole entire night! Can't be the phone, I'm using an iPhone 7 S plus. Can't be wearing it too tight I have small wrist and I am wearing the largest band cinched down close but not wicked tight. In other words the band's not sliding around, but it's not cutting off circulation either. And it's clearly recording heart rate if you go in the app or look on the device itself. So the band is fitting properly enough to record heart rate. Software update was performed so it can't be that. It's just a little bit frustrating to only see one night's data- especially when I make a point of wearing the blaze to bed to record this data. I have a flex 2 that I wear around my ankle that I could just leave on and go to sleep with if I wanted the same boring data. Heck, The flex 2 actually gives me more accurate sleep data in the old format then the blaze does!
