Sleep time increased, nearly doubled, since sleep stages.

Hi,

Since the introduction of 'Sleep stages' on my Blaze my logged sleep time has gone up dramatically. Previously I was sleeping between 2 and 4 hours, which is pretty accurate as I suffer with insomnia, however, since the sleep stages started working my logged sleep has increased to 6 to 9 hours a night - Last night it recorded almost 6 hours, even though I was only in bed for 6 hours total and was watching the clock half the night.

I do have a very low heart rate at night (which can drop to the low 30's bpm and normally sits around 42-46 on average) and I am wondering if this new method of recording sleep is now simply logging sleep based upon slow heart rate? I'm not sure how it was measured prior to sleep stages, but the logged sleep was far more accurate.

I also noted that sleep sensitivity seems to have vanished from my Android options, but is still available in the IOS software, that is still showing sensitive and not normal.

Anyone else seeing this? Any suggestions on how to get the correct sleep data to display? I love the new sleep stages concept, but it is useless if it is incorrect.

It's great to see you around @EuroEnglish. Regarding the sleep stages, I recommend taking a look at this post, where our friend @FerdinandFitbit is providing a really good explanation about it.

I hope this helps, catch you later. Woman Happy

Great to see you here @rldigby. Have you checked the link I provided in my previous post? If you haven't, I recommend taking a look at it, to have more information about how this feature works.
