Sold my Blaze, buyer is unable to use stating the device is still connected to me

I read on other posts to remove the device from my account.  The device is not showing up in my account and according to the buyer, it is still "connected to me".  I also read on Fitbit.com help, that the data is cleared when the device is paired to a new account.  At a loss here, any help would be appreciated.  Thank you!

Did you remove it from your Bluetooth? This really should not matter unless you are close.

But send them these links and also ask if any other fitbits are around as they will interfere

I had a similar issue with a Charge 2 I bought off someone for my dad. I contacted customer service and they explained that it doesnt really matter that the screen still looks like it's set up to someone's account, as long as they are not nearby, you should be able to pair it to a different device. You just have to start the setup process and it should work fine from there.
