Sony xperia M4 Aqua connection issues

Hi there,

New to the forum.  My wife and I got each other a fitbit Blaze each for our Anniversary.  I can sync fine when connected to wifi but doesn't seem to work properly through bluetooth.  I also can't get notifications from my phone to the blaze or use the blaze to control music.

The music control would be a nice to have, but the notifications was a big reason for getting the fitbit, I'm on call a lot if I can get my fitbit to vibrate when a call / text comes in it means I can leave my phone on silent rather than waking up my wife.

I know that the blaze needs the phone to be BT LE compatible which my phone is and it seems to work when i first set it up, but then it stops working agian.

Has anyone been able to get the blaze to work with an M4 Aqua?

Hope someone can help.

Regards

Alex

May I ask what is not working.

You mention Caller I'd.

Does the Blaze Sync through the Phone, this can only happen through Bluetooth and an internet connection, both are needed. Either WiFi or cellular will work.

For Android Bluetooth classic needs to be paired for music control.

I see a hint that there might be multiple problems,  syncing issues would be the first we would want to address

@denimknight, as far as I can tell, your phone is not currently supported by Fitbit.

Thanks for getting back to me. Sorry I wasn't more descriptive. The Blaze
does sync to my phone fine. The issues I'm having are:

I can't get call / text / calendar alerts to my Blaze
I can't control my phones music through my Blaze.

I can get the notifications to work when I first configure it, but then
they stop working again almost straight away.

Hope you can help.

Thanks

A warm welcome to the Community @denimknight@Rich_Laue and @shipo thanks for stopping by and the troubleshoot provided. Woman Wink I would like to know if you keep having problems with your Blaze? If you do, as mentioned before the reason why your tracker isn't connecting with your phone is because your phone is not a compatible mobile device. I recommend syncing your tracker with a computer or compatible phone and keep an eye on our list for any update.

See you around! Woman Happy

I also had this problem look like @denimknight . But I already know compatible mobile devices last year ( But Fitbit still late for update compatible mobile list ) . I bought Sony M4 aqua last year . When I hadn't bought I test Fitbit app and all of functions. All functions were working well. I dead sure wanna tell My older Fitbit Charge can use call functions such call notification.
Now, I had upgraded to Fitbit Blaze. When starting , working well. I had call and sms noti form my sony m4 Aqua. But I can't loose Bluetooth connection. If Tracker loose connection with my phone, call and sms noti didn't worked. When I got this problem I turn off and on Bluetooth and open data connection and than sync Fitbit app.
We need to update firmware or capability for updated mobile devices.
Thank you.
Hopping for update

Hey,

I have a M4 and have had similar issues, it syncs and things and displays messages and works perfectly for about 3 days of the week, forget about the other 4 as they are pretty much completely unuseable, it seems stupid that it works on other Xperia phones but not this one

I can see why it would work on one Xpeeia phone and not another one, the hardware mught be different and the Fitbit app has not been optimized yet. It doesn't make sense that it works perfectly fine for 3 days, then fails the other 4.

I can see that a restart may be required when the app is updated.

My thought when it fails to sync,  check Fitbit.com to see if it really dod fail, and if so go into the phones BT settings and tell it to forget the tracker.

Do not remove from the Fitbit app.
