Special Edition Blaze

I'm sorry but the blaze 2 is ridiculous to me for several reasons. They could've just done a software upgrade for the current blaze and added the step reminders which those of us with the first blaze are still waiting on. I also loved the look of the slim pink band with the gold but it is $100 which for the band and gold piece to me that is absurd. The leather band costs that much a silicone band should not!

@My-4  Are you referring to the new Charge 2?  (There is not a new Blaze yet). There is an update being released shortly for the Blaze that will add the reminder to move features (and several others)

Edited to Add: I think you mean the special edition of the Blaze.

As stated above, the software update is for all Blazes everywhere since there is no such thing as a Blaze 2. The release of new hardware is simply an extension of the current range offering the same feature set.

Gosh I'm aware that it's not the blaze 2 my point is that I should have the software update and I don't and that the band is very overpriced for what it is.

But you will when they release it. No-one has it yet.

Without knowing the costs of producing either type of band, I can't write a sensible reply to that opinion.

if you think the Blaze accessories are overpriced, checkout the Public School (for Alta) Axis bracelet at $295, and Type III Paracord bracelet at $175.

Yup, so does ebay.  I have 5 bands now and none were over $20.  Of course the Special Edition from Fitbit directy is pricey, but so is are all of the Fitbit direct bands.  That is pretty much life in general, pay more from the dealer, or get a chaper-lower quality knockoff from China.  While the higher money is worth every penny for some things....there are other situations where the cheaper China version is a better buy, and I include Blaze bands in the later.

I'm just bummed that I can't buy the black slim strap by itself. I don't need another gold frame. And I can't wear the traditional wide straps. My pink is starting to get dingy after a couple weeks. It's gonna look terrible in a month and it doesn't come clean either.

Bunnybear -  I'm considering buying the blaze gold/pink special edition that you have.  I like the thinner band as it has less bulky look.  Are you able to exchange bands on that model, like on the wider band?  I can't tell by looking at the pics online.  Thanks.

Yup ! They kindly sent me a black slim band cause my pink one was getting stained. And it swaps out easily.
