Startup, not responding

I just got my Blaze gunmetal and I was really excited to get it set up. When I pulled all of the plastic off and turned on the watch I got the fitbit logo for about 3 seconds and the screen went black. I tried charging it and nothing happened. I tried to do a hard reset and still no luck. When I hooked it up to my computer through the USB port my computer didn't even recognize anything being connected. Any ideas on what the issue could be?

The setup message is telling you that the blaze needs setting up.. The message is suppose to disappear after a few srconds.. At this point there will be no notifacation that the battery is charging, one hour on charge is enough.
When you use the app to setup the Blaze, the app will tell you if it needs to be charged. Until then assume it does not need chargong.
