Does anyone else have the problem of the Fitbit blaze counting steps while your laying in bed? All I have to do is swing my arm back and forth and the count goes up.

he blaze won't start counting steps until it sees 5 step like mives.. Yes anytime that you swing your arm in a way that the tracker thinks your walking, steps will be recorded.. This is because the Blaze mounted on the arm will be monitoring the arm.

So does playing the piano, with the guitar the tracker could be put on the other arm. Setting it for dominant hand might help a little.

@Jenruffin Welcome.. Yes, Fitbit is a movement detector and for my last nights 9 hours elapsed sleep time which included a bathroom break and fix a computer problem for my night owl musician son, there were only 274 steps movement.  That is a typical nights movement unless I have extra blankets and I get too hot, the night before was only 67 steps because I only used one blanket and only one bathroom visit.

I also find it interesting with the way resting heart rate varies with sleeping temperature..

Here is the record, and those steps help cover some of  the missed steps from a wrist tracker.
