Step goal animation before actually reaching step goal

Has anyone had this happen? During my walk today it vibrated and did the 10,000 step goal animation. I checked the steps after it disappeared and I only had 8,000 steps with a 10,000 goal.

Huh, that's strange...

Please try to restart your tracker by pressing and holding the lower right button and the left one together for 10-15 seconds and also force quit your app, open it again and make sure that the amount of steps for your step goal are 10,000. Sync your tracker and try it out for the rest of the day and see if this keeps happening.

Let me know how it goes. Welcome to the Community! 🙂

I had something simaler. I had let's say 8000 steps
Put tracker into tracking mode.
Walked 3800 steps and got notifacation that i hit 12000. 8000 + 3800 = 11800, not 12000
When i finished the walk at 300 steps later, my daily step total was 12300. Some reason the tracking mode was counting different then the daily step count mode was.
This however makes no sense, ands i have not been able to duplicate it.

Yeah that is strange. I have also, several times, been sitting in my recliner, sometimes not even rocking or moving, and the step animation goes off. It did it just last night. I checked it and it said 10,022 which is at least met my step goal but I wasn'towing nor had I been moving for a while. I was feeding my baby.

@Mrsblazek you where not moving your arm or rocking, either one may.cause your tracker to record false steps.

So far, I've only had this happen once that I know of. Could have happened before and iI just didn't notice. Usually I'll hit my step goal and continue on for hundreds or thousands more steps.

But last week I hit my daily goal at the very end of my lunch time walk. I got the notification that I hit 15000 steps. But when looking at the "Today" screen when I sat at my desk it showed 14800.
