Step tracker not recording right and the miles are way off

I got my fitbit blaze on July 27th and I noticed that the step tracking is not correct.  I have also used the gps to track my walks the miles are incorrect. it will show I have only walked 2 or 3 miles when it should be 6.30 miles. Is there a way to correct this?  I have tried to change the stride length but this did not work.

A warm welcome to the Community @Hensley and thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself.

 

If your step count is not being accurate, I recommend restarting your Blaze, walk 100 steps and let me know how many the tracker registered. About the GPS, take a look at this post and follow the instructions provided there.
